I downloaded my copy of Tracktion yesterday, taking advantage of the Mackie promotion. The program has blown me away! I would not have given it a moment's thought if it hadn't been for the promotion, all I had heard was that it was a cut down or beginners sequencer - which it really isn't!! I'll definitely be upgrading to T2 when it comes out

I had been using Protools LE for sequencing and composition and it sucks . This program is exactly what I need: streamlined, easy to use and fast. It boots up in less than 5 seconds, when you press play it starts playing straight away, when you mute midi tracks they mute in/out instantly, and when you change/add/delete a clip the audio output changes instantly The midi timing is rock solid and the whole filter rack system is great.

I'll still use 'Tools for final mixing and mastering, but for composition and production work this program is so honed! I really like the way the solo and mute buttons work (how you can solo something, and then mute it out, bringing back the rest of the tracks minus the just soloed one), which is perfect for my kind of music. I could keep ranting (as you can tell I'm a convert already), but I'll just say this:
