What I see now after trying to login in Download manager or Waveform Free:
"Unable to Log in
Please check your username? password
and internet connection and try again."
When I use VPN + other virtual country location - it works normally.
(VPN + Russia location locked access too)

I have permanently excluded this company from the list of my reliable partners.
I'm not going to do any business with them in the future.
And I'll tell all my friends

Hi,
this ist just for me for clarification if I got the problem right:
Have you tried to log in to your account to get your files from the download section?
You can't call your tracktion account?
It is blocked from somewhere somehow?
Might it be that not tracktion is to blame but (without getting political) Mr. Putin?
Or is it a simple problem with your provider?
horst

I got this message rarely in the past during authorizing but could clarify with a mail to support.getfr wrote: Sat Sep 18, 2021 3:26 am Please check your username? password

i just need a time to play with wireshark, i suppose it could be CDN DDoS protection
second assumption - yes, ip (or range) is blocked, but there should be another error

I described the situation. Nothing changed.
I really don't have time to deal with the political preferences of the developer.
I have definitely established that access is denied only from the manager and DAW programs for download and activation, if the country "Russia" is specified as a location in the VPN or with direct access. If I specify a different country, access is instant. The presence or not of a VPN does not change the situation.
Despite the fact that everything works in the browser, I understand that access can be denied in the same way. This does not suit me.
At the moment, I have no opportunity to eliminate Putin's regime. I'm sorry for the irony. I understand if this is a political reason. But I have to work now. I am not condemning, only explaining. Thanks for answers.
I will use other software developers for now. I still have a choice.
I wish you all the best. Thank you again.

I will not try to deal with this problem anymore. I don’t have such a long life as to continuously spend it only on removing such obstacles.
The question was solely in my wasted time.
I removed all the programs of this developer from the computer, so I have no opportunity and desire to check the changes in the future.

I'm sorry for your situation, but I don't think it has something to do with a political statement...getfr wrote: Sun Sep 26, 2021 8:10 pmI described the situation. Nothing changed.

I work with IT-security on a daily basis. It's a fact that the majority of all IT attacks originates from Russia, at least when european companies, institutions, hospitals etc are targeted. Also stolen credit cards are often used from Russia. This is a problem for software companies as well.
I could show you statistics from last couple of years. It is a huge problem and it gives Russia as a country an extremely bad reputation unfortunately....
The "abuse teams" at Russian ISP's and servers farms just does not care if you contact them. My guess is that they might be threatened by the attackers, or they earn money (bribes) by renting out servers to the attackers. And the police does not care or looks the other way... also bribes I guess. It's so f*cked up..
Anyways. Normally when we get attacked from countries with a working law enforcement, we can just contact the ISP's and server owners and the attacks will stop, since they are illegal and no body wants to be part of that. Then the ISP's will report the incidents themselfs to the local police. No need to block a whole country then, or even just one ISP. When it gets reported, it stops.
Contacting Russian ISP's just doesn't work. They are part of the problem and are probably bribed by the attackers. A lot of attacks are also done by people connected to ФСБ, which explains a lot why they never get caught and just can continue with ransomware and such, year after year after year...
Blocking some things like non-MFA enabled websites from Russia, is just part of the security today.
HOWEVER, I would argue that any companies that are blocking services for security reasons, should help legit users in the best way they can.
Fun fact: after blocking Russia (not a total block but certain services) in my workplace (thousands of employees and servers) the active attacks went down by about 80%. This saves a lot of resources and money. To solve the issue where our employees have to work within Russia and other "blocked" countries, we provide VPN services so that they can work from anywhere.
So yes, there are other countries with huge problems with IT attacks and of course they ALSO get blocked in the same way... So, it's not against Russia for political reasons I would guess, although it seems that only political change can solve the problem......
Take care!

I work in IT as well and can confirm what you write. It's sad when many good Russian (and e.g. Chinese) people (and customers!) find themselves blocked, but it's often the only viable solution to the problems mentioned above.cnt wrote: Sun Sep 26, 2021 10:10 pmI'm sorry for your situation, but I don't think it has something to do with a political statement...getfr wrote: Sun Sep 26, 2021 8:10 pmI described the situation. But I agree, the support should try to help customers from blocked countries individually as good as they can.
