I have the latest Komplete Kontrol & Repro 5. Strange that the Filter cutoff is on page 8.
It doesn't seem that the mapping is carefully considered. Anyone else experiencing this?

Our Repro-5 mapping uses 4 pages, and filter is on page 1.
Are you sure you're looking at our u-he presets? Or is that some third-party content perhaps?

Ah. This was a bit confusing. You are both right. If you select instrument and preset via the KK Library on the left, I see that the mapping is 'curated' (with filter cutoff on page 1 etc). But if you, (as I have done for long) insert the instruments via the arrow between the search-icon and preset name, you get 14 pages of more or less random assigned parameters.
btw: this also applies for other manufacturers, Arturia etc.

I see! That's not in our hands though.
I assume that the NKS host will simply "dump" all available parameters onto the necessary number of pages when loading the plugin that way. Just checked that method with a dozen other plugins from different developers, same thing. Huge number of pages, no proper sorting. Just a parameter dump.
The curated parameters are embedded in the NKS preset itself, not in the plugin, so loading the NKS preset would be the way to go here.

Yes it just goes by the order params are exposed to the host (you will find this in any host if you look at the order of exposed params). What NKS does is allow one to select and organise params more usefully, but best then not to circumvent how it does this.tabor wrote: Mon Sep 27, 2021 1:08 pm Ah. This was a bit confusing. but If you export a preset as nksf from our preset browser, the assignment will become "curated"

My 'bad' was that I always start with an initialised preset anyway and didn't bother wading through the preset list. So this was an eyeopener, one should select any preset from the KK browser and initialize from there. I have to say I have wondered many a times, who can remember what is on what page in this mapping? and all those shortnames and cryptic abbreviations?

Right, I forgot about selecting from the KK browser on the left first. Although after selecting an instrument from the KK browser first, you still have to double click a preset to load the instrument itself. Thanks!
