Multi-Outs in MXXX broken?

Hi!
I have serious issues with the multi outs in MXXX.
Made a Track in Reaper with 8 Channels, loaded MXXX Vst3 with Multi Out. I can't get the Multi Outs send to the Track-Channels (Made 4 Stereo Frequency splits and send them through a limiter to the 8 outs (each split to 2 channels) just for testing). I cant manage any vst3 version to send on the 8 reaper channels. Only 2.

Used vst Version. One version crashes reaper (it crashed 3 times in the very same action, now I can't reproduce it in a new test-setup, but still multiouts don't work (only 7x mono in the vst version)), when adding another frequency split after 4 splits.
Signal goes only on Channels 1-7. Can't get more working, so One Channel in the last stereo split is simply missing...

So the whole multi-outs on MXXX seem broken, can anybody confirm?

There's a MXXX version called MXXX6out, you can use Crossover do a 3-band split in Analog mode. Doesn't seem to work for Linear-Phase and Analog LP modes though, might be bugged.

The Splitting worked fine for me... so there is another bug?
I had Problems with the 6 (Stereo) Outputs which didn't work in my case. I will try it again with newest beta... No luck.

With MSoundfactory the multiple outputs work. With MXXX (multichannel version) they don't work. The VST3 multiout is completely broken. In the VST versions in one version 7 mono outputs work. The last stereo out from 4 will only output left side ...!?

Now tried with noisegenerators... just don't work.
Here is the MXXX code to insert:

NoiseGen;$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

It works fine with V15.00RC1 VST3. You have to set the output routing like in the picture.

Now tried this exactly like shown in your picture. Are you sure, that it is routed to reapers Multichannels? I use the JS "WigWare Multichannel Peak VU Meter" and only Channel 1+2 are shown. As I said, with no VST3 version it only shows 7 mono channels.

And when I choose not Auto at the channel settings the correct outs are shown, but they don't work that way also...

Not sure what you mean with "Multichannels". I've used this to send it do individual tracks and each track receives the audio it should. So there's probably an issue with your other plugins, not MXXX

Post

Sorry, I hate these kind of answers. But I'm happy that you're with me. No problem with my other plugins.
I systematically test & now I found out, that the multiouts work in MXXX, but if I make Multiband (with the bands in the spectrum at the top of the plugin) (that was my starting point where I ran into problems and thought it were the outputs that were broken) setup and I want to send each band to one channel (like in the preset made with the code posted above) it brakes.

Have you tried sending multiband spectrums to stereo channels? I tried now with 6 Stereo Channels. Maybe I did something wrong in the internal routing in MXXX. So: I click on every Multiband-region and set as output a dedicated Out. Does not work.

Yes, sending them to different tracks should be the same as my try with different Channels in One Track, which is possible in reaper without problems.

1000 x Thanks, that you try to help!

Difference between VST3 and VST solved.
Now I can use 3 stereo channels and 1 mono. Somehow the volumes of the first Multiband filters were turned down in VST3.
But still I can only adress 3 correct stereo Channels and 1 stereo which only outputs mono... (=7channels)

I made a video to show the problem.

Okay, I can reproduce it when I add additional bands in MXXX itself. With a single band, it works fine, but when I add another one, it breaks. The issue is the same in Bitwig too.

Looks like a bug that should be reported.

Thanks, so I delete the videolink again.

How funny is that, did you see, that we both made 437 posts on KVR ;-) ? Now I have 438...

Post

I hadn't noticed. That's funny indeed.

Vojtech got back on me. This is not a bug. It is the way he sais it works. I have to use a crossover module instead to achieve what I want.

Post

That's a really weird design choice. Wouldn't it then make sense to make MXXX6out single band only? It should be at least documented somewhere in big red letters.
