maybe, but general response to any change is a good indication of developer's condition in my opinion.
I've been eyeing thorn for a good while, but there's no way i'm getting it under PA
You just reminded me - I need to upgrade my Pigments to the latest 3.1.0.1552. I think I'm still on 2.2.1....fieldframe wrote: ↑Wed Sep 29, 2021 8:22 pm The only thing I'd like to see in a hypothetical Thorn 1.5 or 2.0 is more visual modulation feedback. That's the one thing that has become perhaps a bit dated with the popularity of real-time modulation visualization like in Pigments or Vital.
Other than that, I don't have much of a wishlist for this synth. It sounds great and it's fun to use.
Nobody to blame but the idiot who jumped on a new platform before it was ready.
That's insane. Thorn, in its current state, is awesome. It's the best synth I own (as opposed to my favourite synth) and it works perfectly. If the developer was dead that would still be the case so who cares that he's given it over to PA to sell?

Unless I am mistaken, it looks like 1.3.0 added native Apple Silicon support, and Oddsound MTS-ESP microtuning. So more than a few bug fixes.Code: Select all

Yes maybe this is the reason why it is not possible to install it I hope PA won't wait till all their plugins be compatible with M1!!
I know this might totally come off as a humble brag, but I scored DS Thorn for $69 USD back when Dmitry first released it. I doubt it’ll ever go on sale for that price again though. I also later paid an additional $19 USD when he migrated to PA, so my total investment has been $88 USD for Thorn. Still one of my favorite synths.
It is currently on sale for $39.99.EnochLight wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 10:27 amI know this might totally come off as a humble brag, but I scored DS Thorn for $69 USD back when Dmitry first released it. If I were to buy it today, I’d easily drop $100-$129 on it. Definitely not it’s regular price though!
