When flipping through presets in Hive 2 or Presswerk I'm noticing that my projects are freezing which in turn forces me to exit the software without saving, essentially causing a crash.
I'm noticing similar behaviour in Diva and Zebra where flipping through presets can cause a bit of lag.
Haven't noticed such an issue with plugins like Colour Copy or Twangstrom.
This issue only started occurring after I updated to the new version of the plugins.
My system specs are as follows:
OS: Windows 10 Pro 20H2 build version 19042.1237
Processor: Intel i7-8700K running at 3.7GHz
Motherboard: ASUS Z390-A Prime
RAM: 2x16GB DDR4 running at 2400MHz
u-he Plugins are installed to an SSD with the data installed to a mounted SSHD.
I am using the latest version of FL Studio 20.8.4 build 2576.
I am usually not running other software outside my DAW at the time besides Sonarworks Reference Systemwide.

Hi! Any solution to this? I'm experiencing the same thing with Hive 2 and Repro (VST3 versions). For me it happens when clicking in the channel rack of FL Studio to open the GUI. Sometimes it works, but often FL Studio just freezes. Reinstalled the previous versions of the plugins and it does not happen there. It does not seem to happen with Diva and Colour Copy. I contacted Image-Line support and got an answer back about trying some graphics settings, but I don't want to install the latest version of the plugins again if it starts to freeze again.

The original poster did not contact our support, so there was nothing we could investigate yet.
You can contact our support, but you might need to install the newest versions again, to do some tests, so we can get some data to investigate the problem.

Did mellis ever contact support? If not, I'll file a ticket since I'm experiencing the same issue.

No one has contacted our support about this, so yes, please go ahead and do so, so we can actually try to find out what's going on, as this is not happening on our test systems. Everything is working fine in FL Studio over here.

Ticket filed! I've only rarely experienced the crashing portion of the issue, but hopefully the core problem is the same and I can be of some use figuring out what's wrong.

Just for the record I'm having issues with a non-U-He plugin and crashes in FL Studio.mellis wrote: Wed Sep 22, 2021 9:19 pm For me it happens when clicking in the channel rack of FL Studio to open the GUI. Sometimes it works, but often FL Studio just freezes
Like you said "clicking in the channel rack of FL Studio to open the GUI" will actually cause FL to crash here.
I've got a post in the Tech Support forum at Image-Line. You might want to do the same thing.
I'm beginning to think the issue is with the latest versions of FL studio and not the plugins since the plugin I'm having issues with works fine in other DAWs.

I just experienced the same thing with Hive 2 in FL Studio by simply loading patches. Hive has always been rock solid here and I don't remember it ever causing a crash in any DAW going all the way back to version one. I use Hive 2 in every project usually with multiple instances and I've programmed hundreds of patches for it without a single issue over multiple systems and operating systems.nathandonnelly wrote: Sun Sep 19, 2021 7:00 pm When flipping through presets in Hive 2.....I'm noticing that my projects are freezing which in turn forces me to exit the software without saving, essentially causing a crash.

If you have a way to reproduce this, and can provide some more information, then please contact our support, so we can try to troubleshoot the problem.
We were able to find the cause of the issue for the one user who contacted us (wasn't a bug, just an issue with the installation setup), but we can't do anything for the others who are not writing to our support.
There could be a bug in our plugins, it could be a quirk only happening with a very special hardware/software setup, or it could be that the most recent update of FL Studio is causing those issues
As no one reported such problems during all the months of internal and public beta testing, and also not during the first weeks after the release of our recent updates, it's a real possibility that this is caused by the very recent release of the FL 20.8.4 update.

In my case, I was storing my VST plugins in Google Drive (the most recent version that uses the virtual filesystem setup) with all the files marked as available offline, but the virtual filesystem was still introducing some serious latency to any file access. I wanted to keep everything in sync across devices, and was expecting the updates to Google Drive to be as fast and more transparent with the virtual filesystem, but that was very not the case. The previous iteration of Google Drive had no noticeable impact on plugin performance.
Ah well. Gonna migrate all my plugins to a secondary NVMe SSD instead, and see if the directory backup functions of Google Drive will alleviate my worries of possible drive failure. I'll just have to manually migrate between systems in the future.

Well I have reported it here...to be honest I'm not a huge fan of support tickets.tasmaniandevil wrote: Fri Oct 01, 2021 6:43 am If you have a way to reproduce this, and can provide some more information, then please contact our support, so we can try to troubleshoot the problem.

It's only happened once so far but if it happens again I'll go through the official support process. All I was doing was selecting and auditioning patches in Hive 2 and FL Studio simply shut down.
If it happens again I'll try to document the steps and attempt to reproduce.
I have the feeling there might be an issue with the latest version of FL Studio as I have problems with another non-uhe plugin but I can't tell for sure if it's the plugins or the DAW at this point.

That's not the case for me. I only install plugins and patches on the local hard drive and have done since Hive version one and with hundreds of other plugins without any issues.Aerithos wrote: Fri Oct 01, 2021 4:15 pm In my case, I was storing my VST plugins in Google Drive (the most recent version that uses the virtual filesystem setup)

I never got the chance to reinstall the latest versions of Hive 2 and Repro to try again since I am in the middle of a track where I use both of them a lot.
I do not experience any issues with the previous versions of the plugins (Repro 9669 and Hive 11037, FL Studio 20.8.4.2576). But I still have the latest versions of Diva and Colour Copy installed (12092), and no crashes/freezes with these.
I will try to install the latest versions of Hive and Repro again when I am finished with my track.
