Hi, over the last couple years, I've become a huge believer in Tracktion/Waveform. It has become my primary DAW.

Well, im now in the market for a new midi controller, and i think I've narrowed it down to either Arturia Minilab mk2 or Novation Launchkey Mini mk3...but one of the most important factors would be if there are any compatibility flaws or benefits when using in Tracktion/Waveform.

Has anyone tried these midi controllers with Tracktion? Is there another controller that is especially great with Tracktion that i didnt name?

is running well here. I think, you might test if the keys are to your taste.
If you have enough space I would consider to buy a Launchkey 37 MK3, it will be easier to play and two octaves are a bit short - but very fine if you are on the train  .

oh sweet! thanks for the reply, and i actually ended up choosing the Launchkey Mini Mk3, so its good to know someone else is having success with it. There were definitely things about the Minilab that looked better (including the keys), but i'm dealing with pretty limited space constraints, and the drummer in me was really excited about having 16 pads to just go to town on.

as far as the ability to control the DAW, have you had good success mapping those things?

Hi jonatello and good morning,
patching the pads to specific sounds for example in DrumSampler via MidiLearn is easy. What I haven't done so far is to use Launchkey as controll surface. But as you can configure every single pad and knob what kind of message to send, that should be no problem.
Launchkey is offering two MIDI drivers (I am on win).
Mainly I use Launchkey with AbletonLive. There I can use the first one for the keys and the second one for the pads independend. How to implement this in Waveform I don't know. In waveform I use different channels for the pads and the keys.
