There are links to the upgrade at the bottom of the product page. And given how well Rosetta works, I don't see any reason to be overly proactive in letting people know about native M1 support. It's not like the older version is unusable, is it?

What’s your angle here, except “i hate apple”?
Dmitry let people know about M1.
I personally only bought it cause i could get the M1 version, else I wouldnt have.
Also because its good to know you can get support outside PA’s garbage ecosystem.

That's more encouraging. So if Thorn gets the old treatment for the GUI, why didn't tantra ? Strange decision imo.Teksonik wrote: Wed Oct 06, 2021 10:11 pmCrap I didn't see this thread was bumped or I wouldn't have started the other one.LeVzi wrote: Wed Oct 06, 2021 10:01 am Thorn is a cool synth, but I pray that if it gets a V2 update, the GUI doesn't go the same way Tantra did. Same for Diversion, I love the GUI's as they are tbh, probably my favourite GUIs of all plugins.
From the Voger Design FB page but back in February. (No that's not me making the guess).

My angle is that it's not worth worrying about, that you are making problems for yourself unnecessarily.Ploki wrote: Thu Oct 07, 2021 6:32 amRosetta works well, but native works better.

See what I mean? It works, doesn't it? So why worry? I could understand carrying on like a pork chop if you actually had a problem that prevented you from using the thing you paid for but life's way too f**king short to sweat this kind of inconsequential shit. Just fire up Thorn and enjoy all it has to offer.I personally only bought it cause i could get the M1 version, else I wouldnt have.
P.S. As I've explained before, I don't hate Apple, it's the idiots who put up with the way Apple treat their customers who give me the shits, because when other companies see what Apple get away with, they think they can do the same. e.g. Windows 11. For the first time I can think of, Microsoft have arbitrarily removed features for no reason, at least one of which I use on a fairly regular basis.

because running native sessions works better? Why would i bother with rosetta if i don't have to, and if Dmitry himself is advertising native Apple Silicon support?BONES wrote: Thu Oct 07, 2021 7:10 am See what I mean? It works, doesn't it? It took me 3min to drop him a line and it took him 3min for him to reply with m1 binaries and it took me 30s to buy the thing - literally everyone except you is happier
That's just thorn v1 design tho :/LeVzi wrote: Thu Oct 07, 2021 6:42 am

My bad, I thought it was a pending update or something. tbh looking at his work why DS wanted to deviate is beyond me, unless there's some kind of restrictions behind the scenes we are not privvy to. Anyway, that's their business. I just love DS Audios (Original) GUI's for Thorn , Tantra and Diversion.Ploki wrote: Thu Oct 07, 2021 7:13 ambecause running native sessions works better? And yes it's apple's fault microsoft is changing
hey, maybe it's microsoft's fault apple used arm - microsoft did it first?
or maybe, just maybe, this drivel you're posting is f**king pointless.
simple - don't update to windows 11 then. According to you, you shouldn't have to anyway. I do wonder, what did they remove? Haven't used windows in a good while

Apaprenty these knobs belong to ocs 2 and the waveform above them belongs to osc1 (I also thought at fisrt they had turned it upside down, but no)
The keytrack knob seems to have gone somewhere though

Yes you're right that's Osc 2. Oh well I still think they look different and again yes that's a render.
I just found it odd that Voger would post a render earlier this year of a synth that's been out for so long.
EDIT: I just found an image of the full render and I stand corrected that is a render of Thorn 1.
Shame since the render as is most often the case looks much better than the plugin GUI does...

At first, I thought so as well, but, as recursive one mentioned, it's simply OSC 2.
Ok, the colour is a bit different as well. But, the layout is very similar.

As I said in my edit above I found the full render so yes that's Thorn 1.

Not sure why Voger posted the render earlier this year but there you have it.....

The only difference to the current GUI I've spotted is that the oscillaotrs don't have thr keytrack knob
