no matter how many times i click "i already have this version" or even install the "11.5.18" (which still leaves me with 11.5.2 lol) it keeps notifying me about the "new update" everytime i open the program. Is this a known bug?

Are you sure you have 11.5.2 ?
On tracktion website Download page 11.5.18 is the latest version.
If you have 11.5.2 are you a beta tester?
Cheers

Could easily be that version. 11.5.1 11.5.2 11.5.7 11.5.17 11.5.18. Might be clearer if it were listed as 11.5.02.

There it is...i didn't think i was a beta tester...all i know is i've tried to comply with the prompts to "upgrade" to 11.5.18 but after it downloads and installs, this is always the final result, and i'll eventually get another prompt to do it againterrynoakes wrote: Thu Oct 07, 2021 9:54 am Are you sure you have 11.5.2 ?

Yes, 11.5.2 was released back in February.
The current version is 11.5.18; as Peter said, your version is really 11.5.02 numerically.
But I think you mentioned you *did* attempt to upgrade repeatedly, and for some reason it's staying at 11.5.02.
The only thing I can think to try:
1. Download 11.5.18 (note I'm still using 11.5.17 myself as I find it works great with Windows 10) and save the installer to your desktop.
2. Quit out of Waveform.
3. Launch the installer directly from the desktop and let it do its thing.
4. See if that overwrites your older version. I have had rare cases where the internal update manager doesn't always seem to install if the application is open. That's more the case when updating a Tracktion plugin, but systems can be weird like that.

Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.

Not that odd actually. Many developers use this kind of versioning.
Mac Mini M4 Pro | 14 Cores (10P/4E) | 48GB RAM | Studio One | Reason | Bitwig Studio | Logic Pro | FL Studio | Cubase Pro | Waveform | Reaper | Renoise | ~1000 VSTs/AUs | ~350 REs
