I'm rather new to Tracktion and intrigued by it's capabilities. I picked up the demo version a few months ago to play around with but put it down. I recently picked up the newest version along with a free key at the Remix Hotel in San Francico but I'm having some trouble with it. Everything loads fine, but when I double click on one of the songs that came with Tracktion, nothing happens. The hour glass shows up for a few seconds but the song doesn't load. I've tried it with one of my own creations and it seemed to load just fine. I have since uninstalled and reinstalled the program but still it won't load the demo songs. Any suggestions? And sorry if this has been covered before- I'm rather new to the world of Tracktion.

I managed to get it to work.
Here is what i did :
- Uninstall Tracktion
- Delete any reference to tracktion in the registry
- Reboot
- Reinstall Tracktion NFR
It seems that there was a lot of confusion in the registry related to older tracktion versions undeleted entries.

Just happened to me, too. I installed a fresh NFR copy of Tracktion on a friend's laptop. Solution: Are the demos on a path with spaces included? E.g. Seems that Tracktion isn't capable of handling paths with spaces.

The path to the demo projects is by default :
C:\Program Files\Tracktion\examples
So the only space is before the Tracktion directory and should not be incrminated because it works for me with this setup.
Try following the procedure in my precedent post.

Hmm, yes. The German Windows has a different pathname without space (C:\Programme\Tracktion)zenzrock wrote:C:\Program Files\Tracktion\examples
So it shouldn't be a problem. But we installed Tracktion in a another place on drive D: and after moving the examples folder to a different position without spaces, everything worked fine without re-installation of Tracktion itself...
