Midifile drag and drop

At the moment it isn't possible to drag and drop midifiles from or to the internal browser , when you work with vst- plugins. This is quite unhandy, because a lot of plugins work with midifiles. You have to leave Mulab and open the system- browser to get access to midifiles, which is not the best way. Will this be fixed in M9 or in the nearest future?

I understand your request but it would be a complicated task as it would need a complete rewrite of the drag-drop system, and increase the platform dependency, which is tricky especially on MacOS. Not planned on short term.
I wonder if it would help if there would be a function to quickly open the system browser for a specific file/folder in MuLab's browser so that you can more quickly start the drag-drop from there. That might be more easy to do and it might also be a handy feature for other cases.

One thing tho, if possible, could you add ability to use a custom file manager as I, and possibly many others, do not use or like Windows explorer. Thank you.
