I've long had a dream of how I would like to work with synths, effects, and modulation. I suspect Melda is probably the best suited to do something like this, but I'm not sure if it's possible. I'm hoping someone can help.
In the simplest form, I'd like to define a filter device that has multiple envelopes. Then I'd trigger the envelopes with a MIDI note or CC. So for example:
- envelope 1: sweep cutoff from lowest frequency to highest
- envelope 2: sweep cutoff from highest frequency to lowest
- envelope 3: sweep down then up
- envelope 4: wobble
- etc etc etc
I am describing a filter here but the idea extends to all devices and parameters. I want to have multiple of these banks so I could effectively multiply my options: a bank of filter envelopes * a bank of distortion envelopes = lots of sounds, just by sending two midi CC messages.
Is this possible with Melda? I've looked into the MP behavior panel and some elements are there but I'm not sure how to pull this off.
(related: Is there any way to get Trigger behavior to go from min to max and then stop? Right now it goes from min to max to min. I'd like triggering to go from min to max each time).
Triggering banks of envelopes (maybe MPs)?

Well, are you talking about instruments for MSF or just directly "a filter"? I'm sure there will be ways to do any of these, if not anything else, then just by switching between multiple modules in MXXX.
