I watched the new movie "Dune" on Saturday; I personally liked it a lot more than the "Dune" from the 80's. One of the best things about it for me was the sound and the music; it had a huge sound in the theater. I looked for Howard's name in the credits, but did not notice it being there (maybe I just didn't read fast enough). But then I googled "Howard Scarr Dune", and it looks like Howard Scarr did work with Hans Zimmer on the soundtrack. I assume Howard did some sound design using ZebraHZ? Any other u-he products used? I would love to "hear" Howard comment on that.
You can hear my original music at this link: https://www.soundclick.com/artist/defau ... dID=224436

Hi Aaron,
yes, Howard worked on Dune using ZebraHZ, but no time for details, very sorry. We're in the middle of a small project (Howard and others) with a tight deadline that'll take us a few weeks still, maybe more, hope you understand.
Cheers
Viktor

Could you show that as a matrix to help make it more obvious?Urs wrote: Tue Oct 26, 2021 5:32 pmCurrent working title: The Blue Pill.kodnin wrote: Tue Oct 26, 2021 4:37 pmOh dear. This got me curious. The unshushable Coktor wrote: Tue Oct 26, 2021 8:39 am Hi Aaron,

There's been talk of a major motion picture that used the Hive 2.1 features and was going to have a corresponding sound bank. The Hive 2.1 update was actually meant to be released at the same time as the bank but the corresponding movie's release date was pushed back due to Covid. As a result, the Hive 2.1 update was split up from the sound bank and released first. That movie is now set to be released in December just before Christmas, which seems to be why Howard is back in the dungeon for the next few weeks.
There are already some pretty obvious hints in this thread about what movie it is (note: it's not a Hans Zimmer score).

I sat through the Dune credits in the cinema and can confirm the trio infernale Kevin/Matt/Howard was credited for synth design.
(Same with Bond IIRC)
Anyhow, if you want to read what Matt wrote about his Dune experience until "that other project" leaves the gentlemen at u-he some more time, here you go:

Hive 2.1 Matrix 4 Edition

Hive 2.1 is the Matrix 4 Edition. The features we added in 2.1 were the features we needed for the sounds that the composers and the director were looking for. Hence this version of Hive is already out there, we didn't want to wait two years until the movie comes out.
Which has the advantage that the sounds used in the movie will work with the "normal" Hive, unlike The Dark Zebra which requires a special version of Zebra.

Great! Will some of the Matrix 4 sounds be part of a preset pack?
