Since I'm new here, first let me say: hello!

I'm really enjoying MuLab and now I'm organising some stepSeq/Arp-based workflow. Nothing fancy, just a simple scheme like this: an instrument's arp receives some chords from one track, and pattern trigger key from another.

It works fine and helps me with composing, however... for typical 4 beats patterns it's OK, but I'm into more polyrythmic music, i.e. using patterns of varied length, be it 4 beats, 5 beats, 6, even 7... All in one track. And here is the issue:

Suppose that first I want a 4 beat pattern to be directly followed by a 6 beat one (I use "instant sync" mode since I don't want a new chord to restart a pattern). And how the Arp behaves: plays the 4 beat pattern and then starts playing the 6 beat, but... starting from the 5th beat. It looks like somehow the Arp "wants" to go just from the moment the previous pattern stopped. Maybe there's some idea in this, but I'd like just to start a brand new 6 beat pattern (or any new pattern, regardless of its length) from its very beginning.

Is it achievable at all, or maybe some workaround? I've noticed that moving both the trigger key and the chord input forward (by 2 beats in this case) makes the 6 pattern play from the beginning, but it seems a very messy solution and rather complicates the workflow.

Thanks!

Try "Instant Start". Does it play as you want then?

Yes, it makes a pattern play from its beginning, indeed - I typically use this option for "normal" StepSeq patterns (e.g. percussion). The point is that there may be a few different chords per one Arp pattern, so restarting with each chord doesn't really work here.
