That's true, I remember LiquidSonics developers writing something about it.

Any update from Black Rooster? Couldn't find any info from them regarding Apple Silicon.

No, nothing.

FabFilter individual plugins require Rosetta for the installer. The Total Bundle installer does not need Rosetta.

Valhalla plugin installers also need Rosetta to install. Valhalla has no immediate plans to update the installer.

annoying. What about extracting with pacifist? (shit workaround, but hey)

Now that you mention it, Pacifist was updated yesterday with Apple Silicon support. Until now it would have required Rosetta 2.

These days I use unpkg which has been native since March.

What's the downside with the installers requiring Rosetta? I got the alert the first time, installed Rosetta, and it's been completely transparent since. As long as the plugins are ARM native, why care about the installers requiring Rosetta?

Side note: the issue I was asking about yesterday where some installers would just get stuck and not let me advance beyond clicking the "install" button (no password/TouchID pop-up) was resolved after installing the .01 Monterey update. Was happening regularly before the update, and not at all after.

There is no downside...

Making the installers Apple Silicon compatible is a trivial task. They only have to be rebuilt with arm64 x86_64 value on hostArchitectures (Advanced options on Packages project Settings > Advanced options that need to be enabled first under Preferences > Advanced).
