Sounds Divine has been doing a series of preset libraries for Lion. I quite like them, especially the most recent one, Shimmer. It's always interesting to see how people create sounds for instruments. Some beautiful programming here.

Is there a solution for that weird random behaviour when using the LP12 24 filters triggered by a short decay ADSR? it randomly creates click/plop noises which are ugly and destroy the sound. the other filtertypes don´t have this problem.

... which do sound good enough for me to have searched -alas, in vain- for a bundle purchase option for all 6 packs. Yeah, I see that 4 are still on 20%-off-intro pricing, but still.. :hihi:

I just got Lion. I'm really liking the unique sound but finding a couple of problems with the UI.

First I gotta say the UI performance is not great. I'm running a Ryzen 3700X and Lion seems to be running at less than 30 fps. Specially when dragging modules, it's like I'm running it on an old potato PC.

Then the tooltips are practically unreadable. I'm running on Windows 10 with a 4K monitor with 175% scaling values in Windows.

Are the horizontal scroll bars suffering from this scaling issue too? They seem too thin considering they are fundamental for navigating the UI. The scroll wheel doesn't seem to work for moving horizontally, only for changing parameters.

The transpose slider at the bottom doesn't allow me to select whole values like -12 semitones. There are always decimal values.

Honestly, I didn't expect these kinds of issues on a 2 year old product. I saw some post here from the dev about hiDPI issues but I expected this to be solved thing at this point.

I wish it had export to NKS like most of the other PA instrument plugins do

Yeah, I've never been super impressed with Lion's UI performance, especially with synths like Vital now blazing at 60fps.

Although my main problem with Lion's UI is one that would be easy to fix: It's an inconsistency between the menus for oscillators and everything else in the UI. For filters, effects, and so on, you select the module from the little hamburger menu in the top right. But for the oscillators, you don't! For some reason, you have to click on the title instead.

It's a little thing, but I always have to think for an extra moment "wait, it's an oscillator, so click on the title" or "it's an effect, so go over to the corner." I don't care which it is, so long as it's the same!

Any news on these being released?
Bouncing this to to forefront. The next round of AS macbooks is probably out in the next month here. I'm due for a new laptop and it's going to be an M1(x or2), unless AMD announce some crazy thermally magnificent chip that's getting thrown into a Zenbook.

Would love to see a native AS Lion build.

And a new graphics engine is coming which apparently is more efficient.

Hello sound lovers, some of you might be interested in my EROSION bank, a Premium bank of 93 standard presets and 39 MPE (so a total of 132) presets designed for the Unfiltered Audio beauty LION.
Store: https://bit.ly/erosion_premium
The presets of this bank are based on the idea of erosion, rust, decay, mostly in ambient, cinematic, dystopian styles but also ambient pads, gritty drones, dirty plucked keys etc) and more effects or experimental timbres.
Additional audio demos here : https://bit.ly/erosion_audio
All presets have been carefully designed and contain several Macros, Aftertouch and often Mod Wheel assignments. and Strike, Slide and Pressure for the MPE bank.

I must admit I did start a sound bank for Lion but stopped it after about 10 presets. I found I couldn't get fast enough envelopes for some sounds like plucks, and there is a really strange design choice when saving presets. I say design choice because I reported it as a bug to PA and was told it was supposed to lose all your tags when you resave a presets!! lol

I do still like Lion a lot, the effects are awesome. I am hoping a decent update will come soon.

Really well done presets! :)
A well-behaved signature.

I would call this a design bug. No doubt possible that this is a bug! It simply doesn’t make any sense, it prevents just tweaking sounds…

I did not find special problems on EG… For PA support, I once contacted them for Lion too, and their answer was totally bs, complete nonsense.
It’s a wonderful synth indeed, oscs are awesome (amongst other features).
