i want the same thing. maybe there are more of us ? :)

cubase with a tracker editor would finally reach maturity it lacks right now :D

Post

it doesn't have a builed in sampler? right?
that's bad.
IMHO the big advantage of trackers is the builed in sampler and the great way to control it through the sequencer... it makes midi users look like neanderthalers... but a tracker that needs a midi-driven sampler? who needs that?
ngfnjhte?

So that I can put pattern parts in the arrangement (or even just choose to edit in pattern view or piano roll) just like with normal parts
Just to point that Aodix allows you that also using "Pattern events" wich u can arrange along other events, automation , etc. I think Aodix 4 differs from traditional sequencers in the same amount as differs as traditional trackers (and maybe shares more with traditional sequencers) , anyway comparatioms between them are like compare Apples To Oranges.

but wtf, it's the beautiful of internet, we have 3000 programs to choose and freedom to use our preferred one, so who cares?

Hehe, I know that Aodix uses pattern events etc. But that's not what I'm looking for eventhough Aodix is great. It's just not the program for me, but I hope it is for a lot of people.

Of course Stef (hope u find a program suits with you!) Thanks for your words mate.

Btw: me implemeting I/A sampling method probably soon in a new plug. (mm eh? .. I/A .. sounds spooky )

Cool! Using samples or computed waveforms? (it's a quite effecient way to reduce aliasing in ordinary calculated oscillators as well).

Atm Podium is my favourite host :)

if you played with trackers as long as i did (17 years)
aodix is all i every wanted ( and i mean that )
ok you need to learn a few new things but playing with it for 1 hour and you know every thing you need to know
i tried cubase/fruity/orion and some others
but every time i go back to tracker software

you can see the notes!!
easer to edit
and make a song a lot faster

for people how never used trackers it`s a little more work to learn it but its worth it

Odo.

sorry for the english :)

Love to see a new tracker on the scene :) Although this one is really more like traditional midi sequencer with tracker-style editor than a classic tracker. Lack of internal sample player and tracker effects (like gating, sample reversing and triggering from different points in waveforms...) are the main reason that I wont be using it (this is where Renoise with it's tracker effects improvements excells). But I love high resolution editor and notes represented as draggable and resizable objects, the routing view is also great. And such a simple interface! I'm playing with it for less than an hour and almost totally get it already. I think many "buzzers" which are sick of stability issues might be very happy with this one, as long as they're not freeware fanatics ;) Meanwhile I'll be hoping that one day Renoise will get the routing and high resolution sequencer with zooming and stuff like this one :)

Maybe a few suggestions: It would be nice to be able to drag all selected "notes" around with mouse. And ability to record chords (renoise can do this quite well, it puts notes on subtracks). Oh, and driver selection IMHO doesn't really belong on front panel, because you need this only the first time after installation (usually :)).

Anyway, best of luck with this one arguru. If there will be a day when you'll add internal sample player and events with tracker effects, I'll grab it like mad :D Btw., Stardust is already (from when you first presented 1.0 it here) my compressor of choice, especially for bass and drum tracks. Phat!

Aodix records chords, try it.

yes mate ive tried it , its very good since its modular  , but Aodix its still new , a piano roll would be better since its a very popular tool nowadays if Arguru is thinking about making one he might consider winning some more users :)
Aodix is just in the beginning..

Yeah, I think piano roll definately has its uses. When building a modern tracker it would seem like a good idea to include a piano roll alongside the traditional tracker-input... BuzzLE will have a piano roll if it'll ever near completion...
