i want the same thing. maybe there are more of us ?stefancrs wrote:I want pattern editing, but I want it built in into a "regular" host, like podium or cubase.
cubase with a tracker editor would finally reach maturity it lacks right now

Just to point that Aodix allows you that also using "Pattern events" wich u can arrange along other events, automation , etc. I think Aodix 4 differs from traditional sequencers in the same amount as differs as traditional trackers (and maybe shares more with traditional sequencers) , anyway comparatioms between them are like compare Apples To Oranges. So that I can put pattern parts in the arrangement (or even just choose to edit in pattern view or piano roll) just like with normal parts
Hehe, I know that Aodix uses pattern events etc. But that's not what I'm looking for eventhough Aodix is great. It's just not the program for me, but I hope it is for a lot of people.arguru wrote:Just to point that Aodix allows you that also using "Pattern events" wich u can arrange along other events, automation , etc. I think Aodix 4 differs from traditional sequencers in the same amount as differs as traditional trackers (and maybe shares more with traditional sequencers) , anyway comparatioms between them are like compare Apples To Oranges. So that I can put pattern parts in the arrangement (or even just choose to edit in pattern view or piano roll) just like with normal parts
but wtf, it's the beautiful of internet, we have 3000 programs to choose and freedom to use our preferred one, so who cares?
Cool! Using samples or computed waveforms? (it's a quite effecient way to reduce aliasing in ordinary calculated oscillators as well).arguru wrote:Of course Stef (hope u find a program suits with you!) Thanks for your words mate.
Btw: me implemeting I/A sampling method probably soon in a new plug. (mm eh? .. I/A .. sounds spooky )
Aodix records chords, try it.tha_man wrote: Maybe a few suggestions: It would be nice to be able to drag all selected "notes" around with mouse. And ability to record chords (renoise can do this quite well, it puts notes on subtracks). Oh, and driver selection IMHO doesn't really belong on front panel, because you need this only the first time after installation (usually).
Anyway, best of luck with this one arguru. If there will be a day when you'll add internal sample player and events with tracker effects, I'll grab it like madBtw., Stardust is already (from when you first presented 1.0 it here) my compressor of choice, especially for bass and drum tracks. Phat!
Or change your name to everything SuxxxGoaFruity wrote:it lacks piano roll , no good.
