Consolidating a clip could lose various clip settings [26679]
Wait, does that mean that they fixed the clips loosing their loop setting after consolidation? :hyper:

Edit: I add another Bugfix favorite of mine:
On loop jumps, wrong sample and timing information could be sent to plug-ins, causing first notes to be skipped [22690]

Not a native speaker here but now the Note FX device names "Note Filter" and "Key Filter" (previously: "Diatonic Transposer") are a bit confusing, aren't they?

Agreed! I think 'Diatonic Filter' would maybe be a good compromise (and accurate description of the functionality). 'Key' is confusing, particularly when you're looking at both 'Note' and 'Key' filter in a list as you immediately think of key as a synonym for note, rather than its intended meaning.

Yup. "Diatonic Filter/Transposer" would've been more accurate.

Note Filter filters notes... makes sense to me.

Key Filter does the same for what key you are in... also makes sense to me. Diatonic is an accurate term, but most people have no idea what it means. I think Key Filter is an improvement.

C Major is Major scale in key of C. Key alone doesn't mean anything.

Small team small software, big team big software. Both need good management though. Software management the most important then only accounting. It’s hard for a small team to manage complexity. My point is, if they keep the team small, it will continue to be a niche. A shame because the potential is limitless if they are willing to grow.

I mean, honestly. The Bitwig team is working and turning out updates at whatever speed they do. Maybe they are slower or faster because of COVID and lockdowns. Maybe they are slower or faster because (shakes a snow globe for answers) the weather.

Is there anything to be changed? Can you change it? Is it in your sphere of influence? Call the Bitwig team and offer your services.

If you consolidate a clip it still loses the loop setting.

Tried it out - Launcher Clips still loose their Loop setting when I consolidate them. :(
Also my impression is, that looping and consolidating a launcher note clips doesn't work properly. When I do a time selection inside a launcher loop clip and press CTRL+L - the loop region is set up correctly but the start time is messed up. Consolidating it then only takes into the start & end position, but completely ignores the clip loop (which actually is important inside the clip launcher!).

Funny that I migrated from Ableton Live after they released 11 because I thought it offered no real workflow improvements (besides comping that was long overdue). I was expecting multiple fades on audio clips at the very least but they didn't bother, even though it was one of the top requested features. Personally I think Bitwig's workflow overall is much better than Live's, or at least it's better suited for my needs. Hybrid tracks / bounce in place are a total game changer for me. Plus some other useful things like slice in place which surprisingly Live never had. Oh and the fact the audio engine runs on a separate thread so the program virtually never crashes. I mean there are a lot of things that could be improved obviously but I think Bitwig is built on really solid foundations. Maybe it's because I'm still in the honeymoon phase but I'm quite optimistic about Bitwig's future developments.
