What about recoloring existing projects?
Ok, probably have to do that track by track, clip by clip, scene by scene.

Or an option so that existing colors are automatically reassigned to the most fitting colors of the new palette? (least distance in color space)

As an option, sure. By deafult? No way.

It's not a NEW colour palette for whole Bitwig. It's ADDITINAL palette(s) to draw colours from.

Where is the "no color" button now? For a moment I saw a cross sign in the upper right corner of the palette that acted as expected, but then it disappeared. I hope they didn't decide to remove this feature because it is important in my workflow

That's my plan. Neither of the palettes appeal to me in their entirety. I just needs shades of basic colours.

now we only need to get rid of the ugly rusty orange terrorizing the ui.

Instead of being glad that its not pink or purple…
Or - beware - gray like Live…

I think id prefer pink, and id most certainly prefer grey. what I like most about live is the looks. I hope at some point they add an option to change it. that orange annoys me like a blue diode.

please not grey... Actually, I rather like the orange, but would not mind if we had a hue control in preferences and could adjust it ourselves to any color. I'd do a nice desert green!
