I’ve just exhumed my old DAW, I’m on T2 with a mackie onyx satellite FireWire setup on windows 7.
I’m keen to do some more midi sequence stuff with my Synth. Should I stay with T2? Or has stuff moved massively on?
If I upgrade tracktion will my hardware still work? What about my existing projects?

Tracktion 2 is from around 2005. So, erm, yeah. Try the free version and see.
However, be aware that Waveform 11 is 64-bit only on windows. If your OS is 32-bit, it wont run. Im pretty sure there was no 64-bit version of T2.
And if your OS is 64-bit, but your plugins are 32-bit, you'll either need software called a 'bit bridge' (eg jbridge), or 64-bit versions.
DAWs rely on device drivers to use hardware. Changing or upgrading a DAW doesnt change the driver. Nothing you'd be changing has anything to do with any of your hardware. If I upgrade tracktion will my hardware still work?
Again, try the free version.
Back them up first. They should load, but they'll get converted to backwards-incompatible new projects. And you may have issues with plugins and plugin settings, especially if you cant match the exact set of plugins you had. What about my existing projects?
