I absolutley love the new guis, as they make it much more fun to work and, as I have a photograhhic memory, they help me memorize them a lot easier for their sound.

"I really hope all plugins"Tagirijus wrote: Fri Oct 01, 2021 8:17 amYou could read this thread a bit more carefully, here on the bottom of the post:timbit2006 wrote: Fri Oct 01, 2021 7:17 am I hate to say it but what the hell was the thought process to making the plugins genuinely look worse? I like Melda because of the uniformity of the interfaces, I never have to look at some cheesy gui like the new V15 has. I really hope all plugins allow you to revert to the old customizable appearance

I in fact do know how to read carefully

That looks great! Will these type of GUI’s become available for us who paid for the Free Bundle?AGIGA wrote: Wed Sep 29, 2021 11:19 pmI'm not a big fan of most of the new Easy Screens but some of the MTurboComp and MTurboEQ skins look really nice and actually made me use the plugins more often.toitoi wrote: Wed Sep 29, 2021 6:33 pm Somebody hired an ui designer from the 90s, the first vsts looked like this. New pseudo hardware 3d skins are even uglier than the old generic ones.![]()

It's also possible to turn the new skins off on most plugins.

I'm a big fan of the new GUI's, and I find myself loading up these plugs more and more, and getting actual use out of them now.
disclaimer... I am more of a player, and HATE programing, and computers, so these new GUI's are much more intuitive to me. I use them as I would a guitar petal.

While i understand the concept and am happy for those that like it, these skeuomorphic UIs really aren't for me, so the option to disable them is wonderful and much appreciated, and i use it for all my owned and often used plugins. Which is in line with the impressive flexibility i've come to love (and own) Melda plugins for.
Except (in, as of writing, 15.01) that doesn't seem to exist on my purchased version of MTurbodelayMB? I really can't stand the UIs and struggle significantly with diminished readability, wildly varying contrast that doesn't follow my selected personalized Theme or inconsistent or missing value labeling. Which is unfortunate since it's one of my favorite delay plugins and i had to revert to 14.16 to make it fit in my workflow again. What's the specific reason for not offering this useful option like in the other plugins?

As an aside since you like MTurboDelayMB, what did you to to learn it? There are several models. Being that I haven't toyed with it yet, do you have any pointers for its use?RoadCrewWorker wrote: Sun Dec 05, 2021 8:57 pm While i understand the concept and am happy for those that like it, these skeuomorphic UIs really aren't for me, so the option to disable them is wonderful and much appreciated, and i use it for all my owned and often used plugins. You need to change the setting in MTurboDelay and it carries over to MTurboDelayMB.RoadCrewWorker wrote: Sun Dec 05, 2021 8:57 pm Except (in, as of writing, 15.01) that doesn't seem to exist on my purchased version of MTurbodelayMB?
I just clicked my way through the list until I found something I liked. Then I started playing with the parameters. The models are pretty distinctive, even on default settings, so that's a good starting point.Hexspa wrote: Mon Dec 06, 2021 12:01 am As an aside since you like MTurboDelayMB, what did you to to learn it? Thanks, this worked and did exactly what i wanted! I'd still consider the missing option a minor UI bug (that should be easy to fix).Held wrote: Mon Dec 06, 2021 10:05 am You need to change the setting in MTurboDelay and it carries over to MTurboDelayMB.
Whenever i try a new (non-trivial) submodel i usually use MB, 3 bands, with top and bottom bypassed as a basic input bandpass. I use the analyzer/sonograph to see and quickly experiment with what actually goes into the module and how it handles bass/mid/treble. Sometimes i switch the band splitter to alternate modes like level or midside/panorama depending on input material.Hexspa wrote: Mon Dec 06, 2021 12:01 am As an aside since you like MTurboDelayMB, what did you to to learn it? I usually set delay times and feedback fairly high, then i use some percussive audio (plucks or drums) to get an idea for the behavior of stuff as i play around with the parameters. Switching between 100% wet and a 50% mix can help to highlight the difference in sound.
Most parameters (like the common delay line/filtering ones) are fairly self explanatory but it's nice to play and hear their impact on the current modules processing. Every now and then the UI uses unintuitive names for basic things, in which case using the "?" hint descriptions are very useful. For combo modules i usually go through each unit (with all others disabled or muted) one by one before experimenting with blends.
For some of the less predictable stuff (like convolution steps, or internally sequenced parameters) or stuff like granular modules it's often more about controlling the pitch or its spread to keep things harmonic (or not).
Bonus if you got a knob/fader midi controller to quickly link a couple of parameters to so you can quickly play around with changing a few of them.

Woo that's heady. I saved it as a text document and will refer to it once I open the plugin. Thank you for your explanation - it's sure to open me up to new workflows.
