Cubase 12 leaked on Steinberg's site

One of the best things to happen with Cubase was the Yamaha purchase. Japanese companies generally take the long view when it comes to products and are unlikely to sell it to a hamburger chain or a real estate focused private equity firm next month to make a quick buck. If the money behind the company is committed to being a player in their chosen field they will fund development adequately and hire the talent to make the long term success of the product line happen and pay the talent enough to stick around. Look at Line 6 - much better products and excellent communication with customers since Yamaha bought them too.

I assumed that was rhetorical garnish.
Not sure I'd offer my misses to Charlie Steinberg, tho. She'd probably be up for it.
eh?

If I'd have known my Steinberg/Jones Pro-24 floppy required me to dial into a BBS every month in order to work, I'd have said "on yer bike, son".
There are a few valid points in the rant. That doesn’t make the rant valid. It’s not an all or nothing discussion here.

looks quite detailed. I didn't ask for it because I like the one I like, and know.
Hmm. Oddly enough, I've been researching/shopping for a compressor the last few days. And oddly enough, this leak has me not even considering anything more from Steinberg.
I'm actually looking more and more at u-He Presswerk. Seems more flexible than what I've been using and works on all three OSs. Which appears to be the track I'm on for re-organizing the setup. Thank you much for reposting this.

I've also went ahead and upgraded with a version I bought on sale and been holding back on. And since I jumped the pro-series ship awhile ago in favor of using the most basic I can get away with, I'm in no great financial hurt concerning Cubase. I think I'm more concerned about HALion than anything else.
Thinking about those Nuendo customers. I purposely avoided that deal of a lifetime and wonder if those that did snatch it up feel a little played.

Tell that to Charlie Steinberg when he's elbow deep in your sacred cow.

I was referring to Cubase, of which I'm rather fond.

Don't want that Steinberg rotter to have 24/7 backdoor access. Not even if I can watch, on occasion.
eh?

Do you think they might have something enjoyable to watch?

I was with it when the two bickering self-absorbed men were trying to hide their affection for one another, but I'll confess the last page was one plot twist too far for me and I lost the thread completely.

I know it was still about a lot of very angry men, but as to the specifics - no clue. I think the thread just ate itself.

Still. Cubase 12, eh?
