I see people selling and mentioning PA vouchers but also that there are limits to how those vouchers can be used. For example there are vouchers for over 200$ but you cant say exhaust that voucher on a product worth 65$ you need to use it on something worth more than 200$ Is that correct? Also...
How much can one take off a normal price using the vouchers? Off a sale price? off license transfer fees?

it’s not like Waves WUP vouchers: you can use the subscription vouchers in PA’s (many) sales and there’s no minimum cash payment needed. they also do the dynamic discount thing, which can mean it makes sense to buy several together even outside a big sale.

Does this make their plugins worthless ie if you wait around long enough you can get everything for nothing with the right vouchers?

Post

someone has to have paid money to get the vouchers in the first place.

but whatever.

wow that is so complex and quite radical really - rather than set prices there is a system of rules for generating prices on the fly

my mistake. i thought you were asking a genuine question about what the vouchers could be used for not as an entry point into some "hurr, durr, PA suck" trolling. you do you do, mate, but i'm out.

Waves has released SSL EV2 Channel.

Glad my Studio Classics Collection was under WUP. Got it free. One of my favorites from Waves, so I will enjoy using the new one. I don't have any alternatives of this either, so no choice paralysis in this particular case.

Go to this link, login, and check if you can get it for free.

huh - glad you are out, was a genuine question. I dont understand how the vouchers work as it is much more complex than a simple voucher system. Looking on their website didnt help at all so I was wanting to hear examples of how people had used them with all the stacking and dynamic discounts etc etc. as I have some PA plugins I want to get rid of (UA, DearVR) but seems like they arent worth anything because of how this voucher thing works. In which case I wont bother trying to sell them. But I dont know that, and I still dont
Thanks for your help anyway.

I noticed IK has Sampletank 4 MAX on sale ($249), so it is now less than the regular ST4 ($299).
I already have many of the instruments in the MAX version (as I bought into Total Studio 2 MAX last year), but I don't have the other regular ST4 instruments/samples as I have Sampletank 3.

Anyway, I wish they'd put the standard ST4 on sale. Then my upgrade price to it should be a decent price and lower than having to pay for the upgrade to ST4 MAX.

For the Cash-Back voucher ($199-249)

"Is there a minimum spend?No! You can spend it on whatever you want and do not have to pay anything extra. You can even use the voucher for orders over the voucher value - in this case, you will be charged only the difference between
your total order value and the voucher value."

While for loyalty voucher:

"Please consider the minimum order value of your loyalty voucher:

$25 Loyalty Voucher -> $32 Minimum Order;
$50 Loyalty Voucher -> $75 Minimum Order;
$75 Loyalty Voucher -> $99 Minimum Order;"

How to use them it depends on what you like and need, what plugins you already have because you can get some associated discount , watch the plugins that they daily discount and found the best combination with dinamic discount in the cart and apply it; have also in mind the fact that their new plugins like the actual Amek Channel Strip at $449 gradually go down in prize in about 2 years and that their new plugs have a good discount in the launch like the Amek 9099 was in august at $99 (I don't know if it was possible apply a $75 voucher even)

In this game sometime you win and sometime you loose (you loose anyway, PA gain! XD ) you may buy actually Silo for $14 with the S25 loyalty voucher, I've paid it $29 when it was.... :shrug:

I never seem to get any vouchers have half a dozen of their products - how do you register for the PA vouchers or is it only after making a purchase (checked their site cant make head nor tail of it tbh).

You may have noticed that people give away their loyalty vouchers towards the end of the month - if you want a particular PA plugin, it will probably be on a flash sale about four times a year at $39, so you can use a $25 voucher and get it for $14 (plus VAT).

Just checked my emails - to pick one, BYOME was on 48hr sale for 39.99 on 13 Nov 20, 23 Mar 21, 29 Aug 21, 11 Oct 21.

There's a spending threshold, you have to spend a certain amount in the last six months or something to qualify. And signup for the newsletter.

Could be $50, I haven't had a personal loyalty voucher since spending a bit a couple of years back though am getting the generic ones now. Woo.
