Has Bitwig ruined other synths/plugins for you?

no, i don't use that much BW plugins.
I use Logic pro and 3rd party plugins, bounce as audio stems and import them in BW for my live performances.

I have Physion, and SplitEQ seems like it’s a much better tool.antic604 wrote: Sat Nov 13, 2021 12:55 pmThanks!perpetual3 wrote: Sat Nov 13, 2021 11:32 amSonible entropy EQ, frei:raumantic604 wrote: Sat Nov 13, 2021 6:33 amI had no idea. indeed, the SplitEQ is a great product, but Meldaproduction has it indeed for years, strange that this is the first time it is mentioned.Held wrote: Fri Nov 12, 2021 7:27 pmThat functionality was available in MeldaProduction products for years, but it was never marketed in such an aggressive way.antic604 wrote: Fri Nov 12, 2021 12:55 pmThat's not a feat if it's first of its kind, is it?perpetual3 wrote: Fri Nov 12, 2021 12:22 pm...SplitEQ transient tonal spectral separation algorithm is unique and in my opinion best in class.![]()
entropy:eq (or what is called) can do it also? i have it, freebie, but never used it... i checked it out, but got lost in the other possibilities, i think, to mangle sounds, i.e. create new sounds with it...
but back to tonal/transient; Melda has it. all MB versions, and of course MXXX.
and for the OP; a definite; NO... i like bitwig, use it next to my other 4 DAWS, regurlaly, but isn't for me a total solution, no DAW is. i have many paths i want to go....
me like the grid, the polymer, doesn't do it for me, me like to go wild in the grid...
bitwig has a lot, great DAW, and of course my reaction is personal, i have an arsenal, suited to my needs, for example i am working now in ableton, with only one source: noise, layering it, with resampling, changing parameters. i can do this another way,but me like it to resample it. also because, there every audio take/resampling, i can add to the project.
everything i do is ad hoc (sometimes there are exceptions, if i do more normal stuf.....).
also i work in DeepAudio, for example, still getting used to it, but you can make complete new tracks with it (out of own material, as ever).
i like the diversity, for a lot of people, or a lot, it will be too much, and indeed i was working in Maschine, i do not call it a DAW, and i got lost, in how it behaved, wrong preference setting, and after an half hour, i could work with it as a year ago, if i don't use it that often of course, and that stupid preference! well that was the only thing...
not important.
my way of working is not a Law, or a Standard, of course. and perhaps if i had only bitwig, can i achieve everything i made and are making (at this moment working in that ableton project)? probably not, because it depends on M4L devices, that are quite specific, but even then, you could mimic it, problably.
i will never know, don't want to know, me like, how i work.
but i could be evenly satisfied, perhaps. with only bitwig. i can try it..... but why would i?

It's ruined a few effects plug ins, but not synths. I feel like I can achieve sounds in Zebra, and the Repros that I can't with BW synths. The UI in a lot of the BW options is less intuitive and harder to see things in sometimes.
BW's main draw for me is the extreme ease of modulation. I still like my external plug ins and synths.

Not really. Though there are a lot of decent sounds possible from their instruments and the grid. As others have said, doesn't really compete with 3rd party synths that are a companies sole product.
Drum Machine as meant less use of Battery for me in Bitwig than in Cubase, the sampler is pretty handy and I think the EQs are OK.
I almost think it's a shame that ' the market' means the need to compete on built in tools/samples/fx. I'd be completely happy if Bitwig just kept focusing on composition/arrangement/mixing tools mixing workflow. Though I get that 'the basics' is pretty much a requirement for a DAW these days.
