First attempt, just a lot of punch ins and just one drum loop. I think it needs some tom action on the chorus, it needs variation and fills, no keys or vox.
You can have these tracks if you want to expand on them.

That is SOOOO cool. I would love to hear you do the whole thing, vocals and all, but I understand if that would be too time consuming.

I'll PM you the link to the tracks. BPM 126, if you need any additional parts, let me know what bars.

wagtunes the movie star,
As the Clone Turns: that was hilarious! I really got a kick out of that! Did you get drunk to film that? The music (high quality stuff) fits in nicely. What's funny, before I played the video, I really thought the guy in the long dark hair was Geddy Lee! Ha ha!

Thanks Aaron. No, I don't drink at all. That was pure acting. Well, at least an attempt at acting. LOL. I see you've got new music posted. Yay!. Will check it out soon.

wagtunes,
I have to mention this before I forget, now that I have seen some of your acting: ever hear of the actress Molly Hagan? She has been in a ton of TV shows (including "Columbo", "Friends", and "Seinfeld": she plays the nun that falls for Kramer) and movies. Below is her IMDb link. I met her a couple of times because she is the sister of a former coworker. Molly gave me a compliment on at least one of my songs. OK, I got that out of my system. Now I am commenting on your song "I Got Love": yes, I agree the melody during the chorus is really good. The other melodies are good too. The singing is quite good, and I like the synths. In some ways the song reminds me of ELO (a compliment). I have probably asked you this before: did you take piano lessons? I did for 5 years. Considering how far you've come with improved recording gear and techniques, I would be curious how it would sound if you re-did the song. Though I realize you might not want to. Here is Molly's link:

wagtunes,
Now reviewing "Wham Bam Thank You Mam": Shades of David Bowie (lyrics only)? This does have a kind of TV theme song vibe. This has nice melodies too. Singing is good. Nice audio quality. You're not Batman? I loved the TV show when I was a kid, and didn't really catch much of the campiness. Pow! I could picture you in a cape though in "Clones". I've seen most of the Batman movies. I have ZebraHZ. Another very good wagtunes song. :)

Hey Aaron, I( took some piano lessons from my mom when I was very young but didn't stick with it long. I'm mostly self taught. I do regret it now not sticking with it. I think it would have made me a much better pianist than I am now.

Thanks for the link on Molly. I will definitely check it out. I don't really remember who she is though I did watch Seinfeld years ago.

Thanks for the feedback on the tune. Much appreciated. As far a redoing it, my retakes rarely turn out well. For some reason the magic gets lost and I don't know why.

Well, because of logistical problems (my wife being home most of the time) there's only so much video taping I can do. So, I decided to do a side music project of some instrumentals. Just something to keep me busy in between video sessions.

The upcoming CD is called "The Zodiac Crimes". Each song is a sign of the zodiac. So there's 12 songs on this CD. I've just completed the first 2 today. I'll probably finish before the month is over as instrumentals are very easy for me to do.

Track 1 - Aries

Track 2 - Taurus (my wife's sign)

https://soundcloud.com/steven-wagenheim/taurus

My next video session is tomorrow while she's out food shopping. That'll finish up episode 5 of season 2 and so then I'll be able to start doing the editing and underscoring for this episode. That should keep me busy for a couple of days.

That's not a bad idea. I'll have to give it some thought.

In a nutshell, Steven Wagenheim (me) is murdered. When the body is found, the police recover a thumb drive. On it is a video where Steve suspects that he'll be murdered and leaves instructions to not tell the family and have an agent undergo plastic surgery to take his place in order to uncover the murderer.

Yeah, it's a little far fetched but with the leaving behind of his whole life story, we make it work.

The suspected reason for the murder is because of the taboo lifestyle he'd lived. I'll leave it at that. Prime suspects are the mother and father having learned what their son is into.

I'm hoping to run this 6 or 7 seasons. Season 1 is finished with a really cool cliffhanger.

Anyway, here's the scene for anybody who wants to watch. It's all guys in this one. Sorry, nobody is going to see me in a dress anymore than they already have. I don't need the comments that are sure to follow.

that was fun!
bit cheesy but fun...

but man, that closing credits music :o
that was awesome!!

and, agent cory at the end, you could do some "william burroughs" style monologues with that get up 8)

I worked really hard on the underscoring for this show. Honestly, that's probably been the most fun I've had doing this.
