Oh, by all means let it run!

My apologies if I skewed things; hadn't intended that. You know how things had been going... I think the trend was pretty well set.

With luck things will get back to a more proportional representation. (Or maybe there really is a big reservoir of Sonar people, greater than I'd guessed!)

Meffy
Don't worry about possibly skewing the results in favor of Sonar since there is also a link to this poll over at cubase.net so Cubase owners can also skew the results. :P

Once word gets out about this poll, users from other forums are coming over to vote. Bring 'em on. :hihi:

Cheers from a Sonar lover,

Ok! By popular demand the poll continues – it should give it a chance to even out if at all over the coming days.

The stats for the first few days proved interesting and a hunch satisfied. So let it rip and vote away as you wish.

Just to be fair - let other users at the various company forums know about this poll, so they have a chance to have a vote too, this is a vote for the tool that you pull up the most to get the job done.

At the end of the five days I will add up the ‘Other’ votes and post them as an edit to the first post in the thread – this will account for votes for hosts not listed in the poll list like that of logic, live etc.

Voted for Sonar. It's actually Home Studio, but HS is essentially Sonar II.

actually surprised there are so many cubase users, too.
interesting thread.
Out of pure curiosity...what were you expecting?
actually, judging from the posts I read at kvr, i would figure fl would be at the top.
it's strange, for most of the day it was close between sonar, cubase and fl..I left for a few hours to come back and find sonar has surged massively ahead. but meffy may have the explanation for that.

I believe I saw a link to this in looptalk, as well.

of course, reading that post might pose a problem for a lot of people there...

No post to this in loop talk - untill today after the last post I made just above you Posted: Sun Nov 28, 2004 5:29 am to make it more balanced (maybe)

http://forum.e-officedirect.com/forum.e ... AGEBODY=OK

All we need now are the direct links to the other forums (who no doubt were posted first - hence the rise in sonar votes - dont know why cubase is not getting a look in or those hosts here at K-v-R)

What I have noticed is more votes for sonar since the post at FL   so who knows

FLS Producer Edition is my only weapon of choice. All the new features of FL 5 reduce the need for any other host/app for doing projects. (Note: I didn't say eliminates ;-)

still NO pdc though. in what professional environment could that be used? seriously?
And you should please note: There wasn't anyplace in my original comment that said it was used soley/exlusively/remotely/entirely in a "professional environment"........it's used in "MY" environment, which the only one that counts for me, at the moment.

[edit] Ooops, I mean Nuendo. And we already are 20%-40% higher... so, uh... good job! *sa-LUTE*

I don't understand why Sonar is an option. Do we really need another idiot count here? And don't start, I voted Cubase, the solution for smart and handsome people like myself.

I get that, i just dont understand how ANYONE would use a host without it? what do you do:
A) miss out on all the wonderful plugs that introduce signal latency
or
B) manually realign everything
to answer your question:

I voted for eXT and eXT also currently doesn't support pdc.

I'm puzzled about what 'wonderful plugs' you might be reffering to besides S.I.R. and TLs Maximizer. :?

These two are the only ones amongst the few hundred plugins I have installed which introduce noticeable delay.

The former I never used much and the latter - well okay that's sad that I can't really use it with my sequencer of choice atm but come on - one single plugin wouldn't affect my choice of what sequencer to use.
