It was for the launch of SQ80, the crossgrade was V8 + SQ80 (the price was different in base of what you already have registered with them) , next time I think it will be added in the V Collection 9 like it was for the OB Xa V (from V7 to V8) and I think it is near...

Not yet, but I would expect to see one fairly soon. If not next week, then by the end of December.

It’s been bugging me… I find myself interested in the Audio Design Desk software at Audio Plugin Deals, however the APD sales listing is deceptive: Audio Design Desk is sold for $599, not $1099, on their own website.

I hunted about their website and found a bundle that included three themed sound packs and the software, and I think that was $1099. I couldn't find it again just now, though.

If you get it, will you please post a quick review? I like the idea of it but only if I can use my own sample libraries, but I want to know well the software works running off a custom sound library, like how the 'intensity' features work.

Do you mean from those companies like WA or SoundSpot? It is subjective: I personally don't like them because mostly of their "mastering" instruments add artifacts instead of help you but you always must try for yourself, maybe some instrument could be useful: not bad is Venom from WA, it is good for wash out effects and textures, but as told, you know what your friend need so why not try demo when available

I think the best value at the moment are Glitch Machine plugins (if glitching is your thing...

)

Either Fracture XT (general buffer glitching malarky) or Tactic (Drum sampler player with added glitch) are available for ~£4/$5-ish.

Not sure if your asking about what cheap plugins are recommended, or how to find the cheapest to get the free ones at a tiny price.
If its the second, head into the Software Category of your choice and you can sort by price, so the cheapest comes first.
Eg Cheapest compressor on there is £3.95

Glitchmachines, Rigid audio stuff are at 4-5eu at the moment.
