Remember, it is not a discussion whether the grass is greener on the other side, just facts about pros and also cons.

Enjoy,

The other glaring omission is that session clips cannot control tempo, tempo is locked to Logics timeline. This is true of DP11 as well, although DP11 supports newer Akai controllers.dupont wrote: Wed Nov 17, 2021 6:18 pm I have to comment this :
3 - Breathing "Live" Into Logic
Another big addition to Logic's capability as a DAW was the introduction of "Live Loops" in 2020. This integrated the loop-based workflow of Ableton Live directly into Logic. Many users who like that workflow now have this option without switching back and forth or buying Ableton Live.
that's false, I use ableton or bitwig to perform live acts because logic is not abble to recognise my APC40, it is not even listed in logic control surfaces preferences. that mean : no feedback clips into APC colors pads, no easy assignement for the 8 APC rotary encoders.... So this is not a viable alternative to live or bitwig, it is a different beast ! one for the studio, on for gigs on stage ...
Yeah, Logic Remote is awesome! It's my favorite midi controllermachinesworking wrote: Wed Nov 17, 2021 6:45 pm ^^^ On that line too, Logics iPad controller is a distinct advantage.

Nitpicking much?Serhii Kot wrote: Wed Nov 17, 2021 7:10 pm Logic is pretty far from a perfect DAW, at least for me. Here are some reasons:
1. No Plugin search
2. No Macros
3. No Nesting "Summing Folders"
4. No Bus names in the inspector.
5. Can not Export stems with send fx
6. Not cross-platform
You can. You need to save them first though.apoclypse wrote: Wed Nov 17, 2021 7:32 pm
The Library drawer is very limited. It would be nice to be able to browse all presets for all plugins in the drawer not just channel strips.
Yes. I'm aware but that is not a solution, especially when you are dealing with hundreds of plugins. The AU spec already keeps track of all presets, why do I need to go an resave all the presets as channel strip settings, that makes no sense imo.ozinga wrote: Wed Nov 17, 2021 8:43 pmYou can. Just select the triangle next to the plugin name instead of channel strip setting.
