Hey there,

what do you people think of the idea to have an option in the settings of multiband plugins that a new created band will copy all the values of the active selected band?

I know that it is possible to copy the other band and paste the values into the new band, but that's four additional clicks (selecting the old band, copy, selecting the new band, paste). An "automatic copy values for new created bands" would save some time, I guess.

No biggy, though. Just wanted to drop this little idea here. :)

Have a nice one, everbody!

I don't think that you be any quicker. You would need to tick a check box somewhere (If the Band Configuration window stayed open) and select the source band to get the data from. Copy and Paste is fine for me, but then I need the same settings very rarely ;)

Yeah, the ui is already very very full. If something is already possible then it's not worth asking extra mess to save a few seconds.

Hm okay. Thanks for your feedback. It was a quick idea after all. I just have thought that some checkbox inside the settings or so wouldn't hurt that much.

To save GUI space it might also be an idea to be able to Ctrl+Click or Alt+Click the band-insert button to automatically copy the last active band. This way there would be no need of an extra settings space. But yeah, again: it seems like it's only me who would gain some little time of such a feature. So nevermind then. Do something more important, Vojtech. Community saved you some time! :P

By the way: I recognized that it is way more clever to first click on the copy-band button and then add a new band and paste it. It saves at least one click. :D

Another idea cam up. How about just a duplicate button next to the clipboard buttons or so? Or - if you ask me - I totally get not the "expand" button at all. It's just the "solo" button inside the band configuration window. Maybe this could be replaced by a more useful button like "duplicate".

I don't know. It is still bugging me that literally all the settings (even the prcoessing shape / "analyzer"!!) are getting reset when adding a new band. I do not see any logic there.

Another additional idea: it would be great at least, if the band configuration window could stay open to be quicker with copying a setting from one band to another maybe.

Edit: and I found out that with link enabled and adding a new band even this one gets set to default. So you had to move every knob of one band to get "copied" to the other bands. Maybe at least here the "copy other bands settings to the new added band" would be logical when link is enabled ...

Any new thoughts on this one?
