Yeah, good points. It does look complicated since it is doing a whole lot than other similar plugins. Was aware of license transfer thing because I reached out to them about a possibility to resell my Comet license earlier and they said no. Thankfully I had only paid $29 for it and it sounds great. $75 (at resellers) for Manipulator might be worth it for it does but not really if it is not quick and doesn't get used often considering not all (of my) vocals could use such effects.

Thanks. I will probably stick to using Vocal Bender, which has some cool possibilities and is easier to use.

lack of license transfer kills it for me at that price. Cheaper then I might, but will see if there is a demo and try it out. I love their Gatekeeper - use it all the time as a CC generator. Dont find IWish all that useful

Fantastic courseware if you want to learn orchestration.
Is this a streaming type of course or is it completely downloadable to reference as desired/needed?
Impresses me as something my spouse could grasp easier than being subjected to listen to me spout Hindemith and Bartok. But it needs to taken in increments and at our discretion without internet.
You can download the PDFs, midi, sound examples, but not the videos I guess. Access is for lifetime. You can find demo vids on YouTube.
That's what I thought. So close but no sale.

I went ahead and purchased Spire from PB since I had some virtual cash built up but has anyone else had trouble getting their serial number added to their account?

Mine has been "pending" all day even though my Credit Card has been charged. Normally it's almost instant delivery at PB. :?

I've been waiting a couple years to get a deal on Blinksonic's Reaktor software. I had just missed the 2019 BF sale when I heard about them. Same in 2020 because I wasn't paying attention. Their sale period is pretty short. I finally got on the bandwagon and was alerted of their sale for 2021 - 50% off 5 of their 7 packages. I picked them all up and wiped this off using the 5 on sale. Pretty cool little musical tools!

From their Facebook post:

Tracktion's usual sale is live now. It looks like Abyss and Hyperion are both 50% off and both on my buy list.

All that is left now for me is Fabfilter.

How do the Plugin Boutique (and other channel) deals work from the perspective of the developer who is providing the "free gift"? I can see what's in it for the retailer, one more enticement to convince the consumer to buy now, but what's in it for the dev? Do they get some flat price in exchange for offering up a free add-on, or in a month like now where PB has 5 on offer, do they get a percentage of the till from purchases that included the choice of their plugin? Just curious how those deals are structured. I can't imagine the developers get nothing in return except exposure. That wouldn't be very economical.

Thanks plexuss--Voz was on my list.

Also, this is the best Tracktion sale I've seen--only seen 40% off previously.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

I bought items on my holiday shopping list one-by-one so that I would get all the freebies; I had Punish Lite already from the Halloween sale. For me they have provided an intro to several unfamiliar developers (Audiority and United Plugins in my case). I own licenses for most of AudioThing's effects and instruments already, but I didn't have The Orb so that was a nice score. The AAS one gets you a "player" version of their software and one set of sounds, so I suppose the idea is that users will try them and maybe buy more sounds, sort of like various sample pack aggregators/labels do with demo/taster packs. I received a coupon for a deep discount from PB for an upgrade to the full version of Heavyocity Punish before the BF sale. The plugin (IMO) does not compete well with other things that are supposed to do the same thing, so I bet it is not selling well. In that case, even at the deep discount every sale could be gravy on their large cinematic library sales.

I am unfamiliar with tax laws OUS, but any dev located in the US should probably be able to write off the giveaways as some sort of loss.

I am thinking about Spacecraft - I have granular already but the features combined with workflow for this one adds something I think. Then again I thought that about Silo

You can always try it. Also, if you have an iPad then then it is available for that, too. It was developed originally for iPad.

took your advice and tried it and spurned it. Another sale avoided :) At this rate, if I can just sell some licenses I no longer use I can give up music completely

Does anyone know if there's a place where there are music hardware deals for synths, guitars, effects, etc.?
