I often get RSI flare ups when clicking around a lot with mouse/trackpad/whatever, click+drags are pretty fatiguing.
I would love to assign a single endless encoder to affect whatever control is under the mouse cursor (but without "learning" it every time).
I'm wondering this sort of thing can be accomplished with the Bitwig Controller API and what classes I should be looking at. I was looking at the Cursor* classes, but I don't believe they are referring too the mouse cursor.
Thanks
Is it possible to have a MIDI Control (Encoder) follow the mouse?

AFAIK not possible.
It might work with something like Bomes Midi Translator if you send mouse commands to Bitwig.

Followup, I got a script working in Bome MTP, but Bitwig (maybe because Java?) doesn't process the mouse move events, only clicks. So it doesn't work in the Bitwig GUI, but it DOES WORK in plugins or other apps like Ableton Live.
One thing is that if i turn the knob, and nudge the mouse a tiny bit, you can see the effect of the knob mixed in with the mouse movements. It's as if the Bitwig UI is only passed the mouse move events when the physical mouse/trackpad is moving.
I will get in touch with Bome and see if I have any options there.
