Of course, I can't speak for other developers. But for us, the vast majority of issues goes away with fixed buffer sizes.

One thing to note - if you use fixed buffer size with Hive2 it seems to break the seq/arp - the whole thing goes haywire. I tried all combinations of the fixed buffer size settings in FL (there are two further selectable options in the drop down menu).

I'm having two issues with u-he Hive and the latest FL Studio 20.8.4 too.
First, it freezes when switching presets. It can be fixed with "Fixed Buffer Size", but for some reason, if this option is checked and I restart FL Studio, the sound become really weird and wrong. If I uncheck and check it back again, everything works fine. But this is a huge issue, because when I open my project every time I need to uncheck and check this "Fixed Buffer" option for all my instances of Hive.
Second, for some reason, FL is not saving the MW position when saving the project. It is just being reset to 0.

You can revert to the previous version of Hive (rev. 11037) until we fix this FL Studio specific problem.Lizardswu wrote: Sun Nov 21, 2021 1:49 pm I'm having two issues with u-he Hive and the latest FL Studio 20.8.4 too.
You can find it in the release archive (a link to it is at the bottom of every product page):

Tested this over here on Mac and Win with FL Studio 20.8.4, and activating the "process maximum size buffer" alongside the "use fixed size buffers" immediately fixes this issue, and the sequencer plays just fine.saintjohnbaxter wrote: Tue Nov 16, 2021 7:53 pm One thing to note - if you use fixed buffer size with Hive2 it seems to break the seq/arp - the whole thing goes haywire. The mod wheel is not a preset parameter, it's a MIDI controller.Lizardswu wrote: Sun Nov 21, 2021 1:49 pm Second, for some reason, FL is not saving the MW position when saving the project. It is just being reset to 0.
If you want a certain position of the mod wheel saved with the project, it's the same as with any other MIDI CC controller number, you have to create a MIDI controller automation envelope in FL Studio and save that with the project.

Really? That's unfortunate because some of the others VSTs save the complete state of all knobs, including MW. So if I save the project, I'm certain that all will be the same. But I guess I will do it the right way, with automation clips.

Just tried this again. As I said earlier, I tried all combinations of the 2 extra checkable options. "Process maximum size buffer" is a slight improvement but the seq/arp still doesn't respond correctly to playback. It is not going crazy but is clearly out of time - almost like playing in triplets.tasmaniandevil wrote: Mon Nov 22, 2021 7:26 amTested this over here on Mac and Win with FL Studio 20.8.4, and activating the "process maximum size buffer" alongside the "use fixed size buffers" immediately fixes this issue, and the sequencer plays just fine.saintjohnbaxter wrote: Tue Nov 16, 2021 7:53 pm One thing to note - if you use fixed buffer size with Hive2 it seems to break the seq/arp - the whole thing goes haywire. I tried with the native driver for my interface, ASIO4all, FL Studio ASIO and also just using the non-ASIO primary driver.

I think that saving MWs position with a preset would be an invitation to disasters. Consider what if your MW is not in that position when such a preset is loaded? Should any touch of it jump to the new position or should it ignore MW CCs until they pass through the saved value? And what of ‘unpassable’ values eg 0 and 127 how are they handled?Lizardswu wrote: Mon Nov 22, 2021 7:57 pm Really? It's most likely something we have to workaround on our side, as FL likely won't change the way their dynamic buffer feature works.Vortifex wrote: Sat Dec 10, 2022 9:23 am This is still happening to me with Repro 5. Diva is fine. The solutions posted here do not work. I've not yet updated FL to the new version 21 so I'm still running the last build. Has anyone with this problem updated to 21 and tested it yet?
Maybe try using the previous Repro version, revision 9669.

I had the problem with FL Studio 21 freezing so I reinstalled it as VST2 and now it's fine
