MAnalyzer...How to reset a pasted analysis in the frequency analyser?

I'm desperate.

You can make a snapshot of a frequency analysis by the Copy analysis button and paste it. I mean these two last buttons in the normal toolbar. Then you see the snapshot as an overlay. I want to use that to compare changes to the previous setting from an effect.

But how to remove this overlay snapshot again? I just don't find a way. I read the manual, searched in the ui.

Is there a way? A way to toggle show and hide this pasted analysis would be even better. That would make visual a/b comparison easy.

From the help.

Copy analysis button copies the current state of the analysis into the system clipboard so that you can paste it into another analyzer for comparison. Hold ctrl to export the analysis into a CSV file.

Paste button pastes the analysis from the system clipboard and displays it as the comparison in the graph.

What you need is in Analyzer settings ->Graphs tab -> Comparison
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Thanks a lot!

You can keep the settings window open and toggle that overlay quickly. Perfect.

But since the setting window is removed as soon as you click anything else, it's just a workaround. It requires a lot of mouse clicks to do, because you need to constantly open the settings.

A toggle directly fom the main ui would be nice to have. I wouldn't mind using a modifer key for that.

You can use the A/B selector from the toolbar to toggle quickly. Just Press the A/B button. Hope that helps.

Thanks again.

Yes I thought about this solution too. It's actually not that bad. But you need to be carefull that both A/B have really the same settings or you have visual changes just because of setting differences.

Last wish.

When you toogle the comparison overlay the analyser gets reset. Same when you switch A/B.

I would prefere it when it's just toggeled as an overlay. It's easier to compare without these changes, the curve of interest needs to be build up again and so you can't quickly toogle to see the differences. It kind of works, but without this time gap it would be easier.

Pasting an analysis snapshot is instant, hence you don't have this rebuild curve time gap. That's why still think a reset analysis snapshot could be helpful.

But this workaround via A/B is already quite helpful.

Next workaround.

Keep Comparison enabled, keep the settings open, and just switch the opacity slider from 0(off) to 100 (on). This way you can toggle without having a time gap.

You'll need the setting window to stay open again, so it's again not perfect and I would not argue against enhancing this, but with these two workarounds I can solve a lot of things.
