Looks like it's returning in Waveform 12. I'll be happy to take several hundred quid, thank you.SonnyBoy wrote: Mon Mar 22, 2021 5:53 pm One last try. Please bring back the colour editor. Please. I am willing to pay several hundred quid for that.

There was a livestream on the Facebook Tracktion page yesterday with Woody, Dave, and Jules discussing the future of DAWS. They got onto W12 just over half way through and talked about the return of the colour editor. It might not be all you hope for, but they discuss why they've done what they've done.
You'll need to sign into Facebook to see it, and the relevant bit starts from around 35m17 and lasts about six minutes.

If you JUST want to watch it, you don't seem to need a Facebook account - but the minute you follow a link on there you WILL get the Facebook login request.

So the two biggest takeaways I could catch: return of the color editor (of minimal interest to me; I'd rather be able to color-code plugins and have more track colors) and the likely increase of "more than 4 plug ins on the master bus."
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.

The JUCE team (The framework we use for Waveform) is working on LV2. They don't have a firm release date. But once they get it done, it should be only a few changes to get it to appear in Waveform. https://github.com/juce-framework/JUCE/ ... 1008798161
Yes, there will be a colour editor. No, it's the same one as old versions of T5. It will let you specify a few colours and the rest of the colours are generated from that.
We will be doing a live stream in a week or two where I will run through all the new features. We will post here closer to the date.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong: I thought LV2 plugins were only Linux-compatible?
Glad to hear of the upcoming livestream. And the color editor will be a lot of fun.

It's an open standard than can be implemented on any platform, but it has seen most adoption on Linux.spoontechnique wrote: Wed Jan 12, 2022 9:48 pm Someone correct me if I'm wrong: I thought LV2 plugins were only Linux-compatible?

That issue is closed last summer. Any plans for those "few changes" you have mentioned?FigBug wrote: Tue Jan 11, 2022 10:57 pm The JUCE team (The framework we use for Waveform) is working on LV2.
