Jog wheel on custom control surface. Bug?

I can not get the jog wheel to work correctly with a custom control surface (using the Arturia Keylab mk2). It moves forward (clockwise) correctly, but counter clockwise causes a very big jump, usually to the start of the timeline. With a little digging, I've managed to get everything else (all buttons, track selection etc) working as expected.

The jog wheel works just fine using the Mackie MCU controller type, but in that mode some buttons are incorrectly mapped (loop, metronome etc), and control the wrong function. Based on my research of the midi notes MCU usually uses, the tracktion engine github, and watching midi data in Midi OX, i think this is also a bug in waveform.
Would be great if one or both of these issues could be fixed... Or, if im doing something wrong, and there's some trick to getting it to behave correctly, somebody please let me know! ( i add a control, turn the wheel on the Keylab, and set the action to transport->jog)
