sounds interesting.

Something in the vein of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbVonLvGc8I

But think, each 'trigger' represents a MIDI note, which 'plays+holds' a pre-sequenced chord, where pressing that same note would 'scan' through a series of pre-sequenced chords.

(eg: I press E3, it plays C, I press E3 again, it plays F, I press E3 again, it plays G7, I press E3 again, it returns to C.)

It's a bit of an expensive solution but you can do this with the Akai MPK series of midi controllers using their built in Arp.

tried neither, maybe you find some of that helpfull...
Guys, this can be achieved (monophonically) by simply routing plastique's (s-production) sustain plugin to (or from) his polylimiter plugin set to 1 poly's :).

tkx for the tip, opto :)

@maliceX: i guess u've already checked sugarBytes Consequence for ur chord trigger needs?
then: if u say u want to get into midi programming, i can recommend Usine.
however, super midi scripter has its advantages:
- single plugin
- kewl debugger
disadvantages:
- AzAudio developed a special language called LeoFuns which is a kind of functional/declarative language. imho, its easier to learn a procedural language (Usine uses Pascal Script).
- GUI making is very limited.
myseld, i'll maybe start coding C++ midi plugs some day. not sure though. but maybe i'll start doing midi stuff for the Genoqs hardware (open source).

i started working on something like this.

you can assign a trigger note which steps through the sequence. i'm probably going to make it into a full-featured midi sampler/piano roll/whatever.

i also made this for the topic's original request:

Holy crap Piz that is astounding. You never cease to amaze. Cant wait to check it out ;)

Will it be added to the bundle??

Another plugin thats close to the above request is SuppaChords. Each chord is triggered by a note starting from C0.

Still looking for this, 12 years later! Most of the solutions here are now defunct or not working properly. If anyone knows of something that has emerged in the interim, I would greatly appreciate it.

Finally found a plugin that does this, it's called Midi Latch and can be found here: http://www.midikarval.net/_mgxroot/page_10763.html

There is also JS: MIDI Note Hold but it can only hold one note.
