...Until the day after Z3 is released and the yokels start asking when Zebra 4 is coming...
This will start the moment we leak a screenshot of an early alpha version.
:hihi:
And KVR will be abuzz

I am sure they will release it when the first Warp engine is part of every car on earth and we can visit other worlds with it.
So, end of next year :hihi:

I've always gotten the sense from their previous releases and public comments that U-he is a company that does not put out updates for their own sake. When they release a new version, it's because they have something substantial to add to the previous incarnation of an instrument, something that they're proud to call a "new" version.

Zebra2 is still all these years later a fantastically powerful synth. It's hard to improve on. If they were ready to release a worthy successor 5 years ago they would have. I think the quality of their work should mean they've earned the benefit of the doubt on this stuff. If it doesn't come til 2023, there's a good reason.

or 2025 :)

Personally I love Zebra 2 and Dark Zebra, but other work flows have taken over for me. I know that Hive 2 is my favorite workflow synth ever and if they can take Hive 2's style of working with modulators and other fun ways of creating sound Zerba 3 is going to be amazing. Right now I got Hive 2 and Falcon to hold me over. Yes, Falcon's work flow is different but once you live in it for a while it makes a lot of sense, which can be said of Zebra.

Bitwig is my DAWs and UHe and Tracktion Synths are my Bae. I maybe buy one synth a year. REMEMBER SELF just one synth a year!

Yeah... Hive has become one of my most used and favorite synths.

Same here. Hive has a fantastic workflow that isn't only quick, but a lot of fun. Though I'm in Zebra most of the time, Hive is great for when I'm not in the mood for Zebra's various complexities.

Zebra2 is already fantastic to program, but it's going to get even easier and more streamlined. The editors and modules are going to be more unified e.g. instead of separate Filters and XMF filters, they'll be put together.
