So its not even in the beta stage yet?Meffy wrote: Can't wait for the beta actually to commence
Why the announcement then if its that far away?
Come on, say it with me. You know you want to: Who the f**k wanted the remote?Meffy wrote: I'm not diasppointed at all. I wonder why the Props chose to do one thing instead of another, and wish this or that had got in, but I feel that way about my computer, my camera, my bike... heck, even my shoes!

petertools liveset has a chord module for reason aswell as loads of other fantastic modules, people really should check it out. i cant understand why its not mentioned here more often.Warmonger wrote:Having read a post by Tage on the forum, I now realize that Remote is more than just MIDI-out support for things with motorized faders. I almost never used my Radium 49's knobs with Reason (due to deficiencies in both), but with Remote, I can see myself using the knobs more with 3.0. I still would have preferred a chord module, but I guess I'm going to have to stick with eXT for that.
comprehensive answer to my question, cheersWarmonger wrote:I ignore Liveset for a couple of Reasons. First, I'm not exactly happy with the developer's spamming on the Propellerhead forums (almost any post of his has been in reference to Liveset). Second, it's not free, whereas using eXT just for chords is (if you only want to get the chords into Reason one time), and so is Tracktion, with the NFR option. Third, it's a Rewire host, with no support for audio or VSTs.
With the Combinator, key splits can be done directly in Reason, and so can layering. Chords and arps can be taken care of in eXT (using a virtual midi cable). In fact, all of the midi processing can be done as well, or better, using free plugins hosted in a modular environment. I've tested the demo of Liveset extensively, and I was not all that impressed. Besides, it costs $150. No thanks.
Another reason might be the sketchy online presence they maintain. Go visit their site.harper wrote:petertools liveset has a chord module for reason aswell as loads of other fantastic modules, people really should check it out. i cant understand why its not mentioned here more often.Warmonger wrote:Having read a post by Tage on the forum, I now realize that Remote is more than just MIDI-out support for things with motorized faders. Apparently you didn't read your non-disclosure agreement, did you?
I'm wondering if you skimmed over the rest of the software as thoroughly as you "read" the agreement you entered into when you signed up as a beta tester.
