Uhbik vst3 crashing Ableton on Catalina

Hello! I am a new user of the Uhbik package - loving those plugins, especially Runciter.

I am running Catalina and Ableton 11.0.12 on an Intel i9 MacBook Pro, all OS patches installed. Projects with Runciter vst3 on a track crash Ableton when loading a saved project. Ableton's crash log shows that uhbik.vst3 causes the crash.

To reproduce, create a new project, load Runciter vst3 on a track. Save the project, then choose "collect all and save", which captures all the settings of plugins, etc. Exit Ableton. Load the proj by double-clicking from disk or by File|Open in Ableton. Boom.

Interesting that when I use the vst2 version of Runciter, this does not happen, so that's my workaround.

I assume that the uhbik.vst3 is a wrapper for all of the plugins in the Uhbik package? Not sure what could be happening.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Hello, the installer contains a warning to avoid using the VST3 version.
That's why the VST3 format is unchecked by default during installation.
Once Uhbik gets updated, it will receive a much improved VST3 implementation, just as all other plugins have.
Until then, please do not use the VST3, as it can be unstable in certain hosts, Ableton Live being one of them.

Assuming you are not using the betas for V2, I think that there are old known issues with the vst3 versions of uhbik and even a readme.

The last round of maintenance updates excluded uhbik, as a new version was supposed to be coming soon.

Oh dang. I guess I overlooked the README stuff. Sounds good for now. ETA on a vst3 fix/update?

Nope, sorry, no ETA. Simply impossible due to Covid and and many other unpredictable factors.
