Can I set MB7 to divide on amplitude as well as frequency, like the new EffectGrid

Hi, there is a new plugin Effectgrid https://www.effectgrid.com/ which has the handy feature of being able to divide up the signal by amplitude range as well as frequency band. And individual outs for each division.
Is this possible in MB-7 using included plugins?

Don't own Effectgrid.
No video from them neither yet, so...
That said, just gave MB7 a fast try to split audio via amplitude.
I've used MB7's supplied Gate + the Echo (relay) and it gave some interesting results.
Of course, not a "direct comparaison, so YMMV.

Thanks for looking at my question. If the internal gate allowed for two streams of audio - above and below the threshold, then it would be some of the way there. Unfiltered Audio G8 allows that, Melda plugins claim to be able to split the audio into many user definable bands based on amplitude although I cant get the Melda ones to work consistently

While we have had in mind this idea of splitting audio from dynamic levels for separate processing, I'd rather not add such capabilities to the MB-7 Mixer directly. Multiband processing is already quite complex to manage properly for the end user, so I don't think we want to add another level :-).

You can however probably achieve similar results on a single band using the PatchWork plug-in and its built-in gate and ducker plug-ins in parallel chains to mute them based on the incoming level (gate for low levels and ducker for high levels, and a combination of both for medium levels).

thanks - I dont blame you for not wanting the extra level of complexity and agree - I think a good extension would be to allow the built in gate to have an inverse function so that one could switch gate output to above OR below the threshold. That would be simple as far as user workflow goes and introduce some added functionality. At the moment I am using Unfiltered Audio G8 within MB-7 for the same function.
