Not able to find any good video so far specifically made for demonstrating these soundpacks. I heard some interesting sounds in Jef Gibbon's video but it only touched some of them.
I bought it only to show support for Arturia for giving us these free updates, as for sure I would have paid $30 for this update.

That said, it wasn't for the most part my taste and as I said elsewhere as I went through the 450 patches involved to favourite some, I was reminded how much Pigments sound engine doesn't much appeal to me, and I found the process listening to all 450 presets laborious.

But that is probably just my personal taste.

It's showing $89.99 for me--did I miss the sale, or was it a voucher you had?
That's odd. There is no voucher. In my account it shows "Crossgrade to Energy Triad Bundle for $29.99".
Double check if you have logged in to your account. I think you only need to have Pigments for this special offer.

Thanks. I completely concur to your reason of buying it and I might just buy it for the same reason, and hopefully I will like some of those presets.

Yeah, auditioning 450 many presets is time consuming and might not be a good idea, however, since they are split in 3 banks it becomes a little more manageable. I just favorited about 40 presets from the new Pigments 3.5 factory library and it look about 20 minutes.

For me, Pigments compliments the other synths I have in terms of sound, but I can understand if it doesn't suit some.

muki wrote: Thu Dec 16, 2021 3:19 am how does modulating the filter with an engine work?
in the filter pane the engine and OSC icons are greyed out...
answer to myself:
not all filters accept engine modulation
those that are engine-modulatable are:
lowpass gate, SEM, matrix and mini

The funny thing is, Multi-Mode works as well, but only if you first select Engine 1 or 2 in one of the four filters you mentioned and then switch to MM.

Ftr, I didn't mean the volume, but rather how much ear candy it did (not) provide for me personally.

All you need to do is sign into your Arturia account, and look for your special offers. The Energy Triad bundle is offered as a crossgrade for $29.99 USD or Euro.
Windows 10 and too many plugins

Did you watch the video? There is barely a mention of CrossMod in the Filter section, let alone showing where to find it and how to use it. It's there, but it's kind of hidden.

Only 5 of Pigment's 10 filters have that parameter you can see in the picture where it says "No FM". There you can select Engine 1 or 2 for modulation.

Thanks for posting this. I'm going to check it now. And no - I didn't watch the video. :dog:

edit: played around with it last night, and what I've tried sounds really good to me.
Still a couple other things I need to get straight with it.
I think the Pigments manual could use an update or addendum for some of the newer stuff.

in re filter modulation (with engine):
anybody else have greyed-out unselectable engines/ModOSCs with the multifilter ?

i reported it and got a reply
they suggested i should perform "clean prefs" of the plugin

that is:
quit DAW, open arturia software center (ASC), select the specific plugin and choose "clean prefs" from the bottom right pulldownmenu

i did that
and
it did not work
i.e.: from intitially chosen multimode filter the modulations of engine/ModOSC are still greyed out

curious if others have the same issue...

See this earlier post. Mine is working like jules99 says.

indeed also the same problem, and the workaround works...
ánd it crashes Cubase Pro 11, erratically, but quite soon.. sometimes it plays the whole project...
it started with loosing sound...
time for support...

(on Windows 10 Pro, 21H1, by the way)
