Absolutely one of the best synths out there. It's worth double that price.

Download the demo and decide for yourself.

For me, it's absolutely, positively worth it.
It's not fat/analog sound though.
For a good fat, analog sound, try Tone2 Saurus 3!!! :D

I really like Pigments 3.5 too, but yes... it's just $69 now:

I believe the name Saurus is a nod to "dinosaur" as in, old analog synth.

And the name Pigments references an artists palette of many colors, or tones.

I have both, and have to say, Tone2 Saurus has really impressed me with the fat analog sound. But that's all it does (very well). No comparison to Pigments though, which is a much more modern synth with diverse engines.

There is never going to be just one "all-in-one" synth to do it all. Each has a strength, depending on your needs.

Yeah, I get it. Polychrome synthesizer and all that. Sure, sounds good, no doubt.

Pigments is nothing like Diva.
What do you mean? Is that a good or bad thing?

Yes, if you get Pigments, and think it could be the same as Diva, you will probably be disappointed. On the other hand, if you get Diva, and think it could be the same as Pigments, you will probably be disappointed too. ;) Apples and oranges. Both synths probably complement each other well, Diva for analog stuff, Pigments for spaced out wavetable stuff.
What about pigments 3.5 vs massive x? I have massive x and ableton wavetable for wavetable synthesis, but I don't use them much. Haven't used any vst's much lately though since I've been more into guitar. $69 sounds like a good deal. Lol. Maybe I'm having GAS.

I own Pigments already along with nearly all the other Arturia software.

I have in my account an offer to Upgrade to Pigments for $49. This comes with the trio of preset packs. Since I already have Pigments, I'm assuming that I just paying the for preset packs.

Is $49 the lowest price out there for previous owners?

Pigments upgrades have always been free for previous owners...

For example I got in at 2.0, then 3.0 was free, as well as 3.5.

Indeed.

3ptguitarist, if you're ONLY interested in analogue gorgeousness then, say, u-he's Repros would be a much better bet. On the other hand if you want different kinds of sounds, then Pigments would complement very well with little overlap.

Mine is £ 29,99 - but why buy a large amount of presets you don´t like?
(I owm several other prest packs - picket by myself, not by someone other).
