I also have a good recent windows laptop and Avenger is fine there.Bartone wrote: Sat Dec 18, 2021 10:19 amThere are some with M1 support working good if I remember correctly. U-he (maybe not all of their synths but some), also I think Dune3 had M1 support added. Vital maybe (not sure google what the situation is currently). And try to google if they work good with M1Bla28 wrote: Sat Dec 18, 2021 9:28 amThanks. I have a M1 Pro MBP, so I should also avoid this plugin based on what I am hearing?djpremacy wrote: Thu Dec 16, 2021 12:54 pmI use the RME Babyface pro FS at 256 buffer at 44.1 khz. Even 512 is creating the spikes. I can easily spot the spikes in the Bitwig performance graph.msvs wrote: Thu Dec 16, 2021 9:11 am yes, buffer size should definately raised when encountering spikes
Normally I can run projects with many vst instrument at 128 or 64 buffer without issues. I replaced the 3 instances of Avenger with Diva, Falcon, Rapid and Pigments, duplicated those tracks once more and all is good even at 128 buffer.

No programs running in background and also tried with enabling flight mode. I also checked any startup items in OSX. Disabled Time maschine and also onedrive.
It looks like the spikes are more frequently when the track with Avenger is selected / monitoring. Also when having the Avenger
Plugin window open it seems a bit better.
Hope this can be sorted as Avenger is my main driver![]()
In the end, people told me not buy Nexus and now Avenger turns out to be crap too.
So in the end, I should buy nothing then is what I am hearing.
Or just wait until Avenger works good with M1? I should think there will be update for Avenger that will fix the issues in some point?
M1 is quite new, but it seems more and more VST plug-ins are getting M1 support and sure there will be some issues and problems first but maybe they will be fixed.
I use windows so I don’t know what I’m talking about![]()
The AU version of Avenger on the M1 in Logic seems to be working a bit better, however still a lot of crackle when monitoring.
Dune3, all Arturia vcollection, Pigments, Serum, Diva, Repro5, Spire, Rapid, Roland Cloud, UVI Falcon, Synthmaster, Sampletank 4, XO in the M1 supported versions all working perfectly fine.
I can have 20, 30 or more instances of above synths in a project and its stable.
Adding 1 or 2 Avenger instances and CPU spikes and crackles appear.
I really hope this can be fixed as it really is one of the best VST synths out and I purchased a lot of expansions.
