Promising looking... I am especially interested in its ability to do polyphonic modulation/automation. It means the per voice modulation that currently only works with Bitwig instruments will work with u-he plugins too (CLAP version)

Good to have a thread for it in this forum too...

I suspect that CLAP might open the world of the grid up to third party DSP, and Bitwig might approach something akin to VCV but in a different, non-Eurorack way (which I do find a bit stifling at times).

I had a similar thought whilst reading the thread over on the U-He forum. Up until now I've been very keen for Bitwig to open up a proprietary internal scripting environment/module designer, but maybe I've been thinking too small!perpetual3 wrote: Mon Dec 20, 2021 4:41 pm I suspect that CLAP might open the world of the grid up to third party DSP, and Bitwig might approach something akin to VCV but in a different, non-Eurorack way (which I do find a bit stifling at times).
I wonder whether it'd be possible for Bitwig to provide the GUI elements and allow us to write our own DSP without having to worry about the UI? I think that's one of the biggest obstacles for new developers, and definitely lets VCV Rack down at times.

I recently installed a plugin which offered CLAP as one of the formats. I cannot remember which one. I thought it might have been u-he's own new MFM2 package but it seems it wasn't that. Does anyone have any idea which plugin it might have been?

well Google search results are personalized, based on previous search behavior
the first hit i get is; https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/clap
to strike (two things, such as two flat, hard surfaces) together so as to produce a sharp percussive noise
But maybe they just wanted their new format to spread like the clap and give vst that burning sensation
