Try this one... it's free
https://www.voxengo.com/product/marvelgeq/features/
(and i has a mono bass presets IIRC)

..or Qrange
https://www.kvraudio.com/product/qrange-by-lkjb
...also free

Boz Mongoose is my preferred mono-izer. I tested it against everything else I had including SlickEQ M. It's currently $19 but has been lower. It also has a 100% mono compatible stereo widener on the upper band.

I wouldn't use linear phase for mono-izing... and I would becareful with linear phase EQ in general - even mastering.

@Autobot

You can make any EQ and Filter linear phase. This is what you do:

1) Apply your filter, render the results to the audio. If you are going for 24dB/octave end result, select 12dB/octave instead (because see point '3' below)
2) Now reverse your audio file, so that it plays backwards
3) Apply the filter again.. 12dB/octave (12dB + 12dB at exact same frequency and Q = 24dB/octave) then render
4) Reverse the audio again so that it plays normally
5) Done. You have now applied linear phase EQ or Filter to your file. No need to pay any money for it.

Waves Linear Phase EQ is around $29.99

Acon EQ is on sale right now. Not exactly cheap though. However, well worth it.

You are joking, right?

Voxengo CurveEQ or as said above, the one by Acon Digital. Marvel GEQ is fine too, just more limited than CurveEQ.

Not at all. It's a perfectly legit way of achieving linear phase with any basic EQ or filter.

This also allows you to experiment with "almost" linear phase equalization using analogue or other outboard equipment (almost because unlike digital stuff, analogue isn't 100% phase stable).

I also wouldnt recommend a linear phase EQ for Bass. Have you tried all different Quality Modes in SlickEQM (Minimal Phase EQ)? Other than that pretty much any M/S EQ should get you there, maybe you have another one in your Arsenal. Or try this one, which is a pretty good one trick pony: https://venomode.com/lowtility

I wouldn’t recommend monoizing at all “just because”

Well Sir, that´s a very clever trick!

I never thought of this before but halfing the filter and applying the phase shift from 2 opposite ways is a very clever and logical way!!

I didn´t try it but I trust you and for me it makes perfectly sense...
At the very end it should be even better as a linear filter as it wouldn´t cause any preringing , would it?

In addition to those mentioned by Kr3eM, other free linear phase Eqs include Ozone Imager and Spline EQ.

Ian Stewart did a comparison of different filter types for the “mono the bass” trick: https://flotownmastering.com/blog/center-that-sub

Maybe bmanic’s method is actually the best though!

The Acon one has a mixed phase mode too, which is halfway between minimum and linear phase. It has the purpose of avoiding ringing.
