I have found several threads and tutorials on how to use the Synthmaster 2 Vocoder in various DAWs, but these methods do not work in Logic Pro X.
The problem is: If you load Synthmaster as an instrument plugin, there is no option to sidechain audio into it (big bummer- that would make it easy and simple, just like the native Logic vocoder).
However, if you load Synthmaster Effect as a midi effect on another instrument, (for example, if you create a track with Logic’s native vocoder, and then add Synthmaster Effect as a plugin on that same channel strip), you can use that instrument’s side chain to route audio into Synthmaster’s vocoder.
The problem then becomes, as a Midi Effect, Synthmaster is unable to receive any midi information. If you click on the keyboard in Synthmaster’s Graphic User Interface with your mouse, Synthmaster’s vocoder will work, processing the audio that’s fed to it through the Logic Vocoder’s sidechain. But if you play the notes on your midi controller, you will get no sound at all.
There seems to be no workaround for this. Logic Pro X simply doesn’t seem to allow midi note information to pass through to the effect.
I’ve found a number of dead threads for people with similar problems, both here and in the Logic forums (because software from other manufacturers seems to have similar issues), from years and years ago, but so far I haven’t found any answers.
I’ve tried fiddling around in Logic’s midi environment, tried creating an IAC driver in Mac’s Audio Midi Setup app, and making an external midi track in Logic to send note information to that, to see if maybe it could be routed to Synthmaster through a back door somehow. I’ve tried navigating the automation menu to see if I could trigger the oscillators that way.
But so far none of it has worked.. I even submitted a ticked with tech support, but they told me it wasn’t working for them either and they’d contact the manufacturer.
Has anyone else ever gotten the Vocoder to work in Logic?
Can the Synthmaster 2 Vocoder be used in Logic Pro X?

I have good news and bad news.
Like at the beginning of this video
You need to click on the "Software Instruments" box from the "Choose Track Type" section and select Synthmaster 2 FX from the Instruments section. And you will determine the channel of the audio from the sidechain section.
This way you can run the synthmaster as fx, but our vocoder was not working properly. I'm forwarding this issue to our developer immediately. We will solve this issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
All the best
