Anyone else having problems downloading Equator 2? Bought it yesterday, but after over 12 hours it was still 'Installing'.

Wondering if Roli's servers have fallen over.

Sometime's just logging out/into Roli Connect can solve random issues, Worth a try at least.

My help ticket concerning the problem of a neverending installation of Equator 2 received yesterday an answer:

We are aware of this issue, and we are really sorry for any disruption this may have caused you.

We are working on a proper fix for the issue, but in the meantime have identified a workaround that should get you up and running.

The workaround is simple enough:

1. Download ROLI Connect from https://roli.com/start (https://roli.com/start)

2. Run the downloaded ROLI Connect General Edition-1.1.0.dmg

3. When the window has opened, double-click on the ROLI Connect app (don't drag it into the Applications folder)

4. Complete the Connect installation, then reattempt a software or soundpack installation

Ugh - spoke too soon... Now when I run Equator either in a DAW or standalone, it says can't find a license, prompts me to open ROLI Connect, which shows it as licensed, but it still won't open. Sheez, just give us a normal freaking installer...

I just updated Equator 2 (PC w/Win10) and now it says it can't find my license either.
So then I uninstalled/reinstalled Roli Connect, but I get the same error.

One thing that I noticed was I can hear the sound from it if I play notes, but it doesn't let you see the UI. Also, the Studio Player gives me that type of error also, and also produces sound when played even though it has that similar error message on the screen.

I emailed their support and the auto reply said it may take up to 7 days for a reply.

Same here. I logged out from ROLI Connect and logged in again, but no luck.

This is a serious issue I think. I hope they fix it soon and update it such that the check of license is longer than 30 days. 90 days or more would be much better and appreciated.

Is anybody experiencing this issue? Roli Connect did an update on me when I connected and it froze up on me. The Connect App is transparent...seems like it didn't fully install or connect to their server. No apps (Equator 2, Player, Drums), devices or sound banks are shown. I clicked on the various tabs and nothing happens. I put in a support ticket and it's been over a week.

Uninstalled and did a reinstall as an administrator and no difference.

wow, a lot of us are having this issue. i also did the roli connect workaround, and cannot now open EQ2, getting the no license issue. i emailed roli about it, twice, in blood-red letters, 96pt, but hey, it's the weekend. they need to chill while we cannot work. ugh

Hi, I belong to the lot, too! iMac, 10.14.6, no internet problems. But when I try to open Equator2 from Connect, I get what y'all seem to be getting – "no license found". Idiocy.

Even more idiotic: when I click CONTACT SUPPORT, the page doesn't exist. Seems to be a total blackout over there. A ransomware attack, perhaps?

HOWEVER. When I launch a song I'm working on in Logic, playback of Equator2 is still working! If I open the GUI, though, I get that stupid 'no license' splash screen. But after closing it, I can still playback my Equator2 recording.

I hope that Roli makes it a matter of prestige and honour to fix this madhouse first thing Monday morning! And we should get some compensation … a free soundset or something, don't you think?
If it were easy, anybody could do it!
