And BTW, it no surprise that Gloria has no votes. She always had talent. And The Miami Sound Machine use to kickass back in the days.

by the way, 1980-2005 is only 25 years, which is half a decade short of 3 decades

Not to mention that it's not 2005 yet. 25 years is within 3 decades.....not exact.S_A_P wrote:by the way, 1980-2005 is only 25 years, which is half a decade short of 3 decades
Sorry about the bad typo.
But 1980-2005 is very specific to me because it all MTV's fault that we have these divas to talk about.
I'll try to get it right next time.

I voted Cher – because quite a lot of the original is missing
And why is Kylie on the list and Madonna for that matter

I think that madonna should be on the list for overstaying her welcome, her last few efforts are marginal at best..

I like Kylie a lot more than before after listening to UltimateKylie (CD import at only $24 at The Virgin Megastore)!!!Spe3D wrote:I voted Cher – because quite a lot of the original is missingAnd why is Kylie on the list and Madonna for that matter

But she has her critics too. As for the earlier music,
I think people hated the producers (Stock Atkins Waterman) far more than Kylie directly.

Kyle is not to blame. What would you do if you were a hot girl, barely 18, being able to sing and snatched up by some A&R dude from a record company. You probably wouldn't realize where you were in until your second album was out, you've got to read in the tabloids who you are dating today, and you have a $200 a day cocaine habit, keeping you firmer in the record companies grasp than any contract ever could. (I'm not insinuating that Kylie does any drugs whatsoeverTonyVanDam wrote:

Watching the whole process unfold before my eyes in <YOUR COUNTRY HERE> Idol was like watching your parents have sex. You know it happens, but that doesn't mean you like to see it on TV.
It's not her fault, or most modern popstars, that every song sounds like some lazy producer wiped his ass with a sheet of paper and piped it through OCR into his sequencer.

Me too.TonyVanDam wrote:Kylie has a vote.
Now I mad!!!
I'm taking my gf to see her in Manchester next year. She took me to see her a couple of years ago. She also bought the 'Love Kylie' underwear calendar for me for Christmas last year. Says that Kylie is the only woman she'd sleep with. So I figure that if I can write a really great song for her, we can meet and have a threesome.
