MIDI channel routing in Waveform

I see I can route MIDI from one track to another in Waveform. Is there a way to specify the channel too?

I am trying to use Reason Rack to send MIDI data from different Players (MIDI generators) to instruments loaded on other tracks in Waveform.

For example, I can send the MIDI output of one Player on MIDI channel 1 and the MIDI output of another Player on Channel 2. If I use the "Route MIDI from..." in the input field to capture this MIDI data, I can seemingly only capture ALL of the MIDI data from the sending Track, but not filter it by MIDI Channel.

I see this works if the receiving Track is, say, Kontakt with 2 instruments loaded and set to the appropriate channels. The instrument in Kontakt receiving MIDI on channel 1 correctly plays the MIDI sent from the Player in Reason Rack sending on channel 1 and the instrument in Kontakt receiving on MIDI channel 2 correctly plays the MIDI sent from the Player in Reason Rack sending on channel 2.

So far so good.

BUT: How can I send this same data from Reason Rack to two different Tracks, one set to receive from the sending track but only on MIDI channel 1 and another Track set to receive data from the sending Track but only on MIDI channel 2?

Is there a way?

@asprog

took a look at the example you referred me to, but i do not think that is what i am trying to do. i can already send multiple MIDI channels to Kontakt by simply using the "Route MIDI from..." which sends all the MIDI channels from one track to another.

instead, i need one track which is generating unique midi output on multiple channels to be able to feed multiple tracks, each receiving one of the channels (and only that channel).

SO: Track 1 is sending MIDI channel 1 to Track 2 and MIDI channel 2 to Track 3, etc.

Or am I missing something from the example?

ok, i think i got this at least partially working. the key is to put all the midi patchbays and the target instruments INSIDE the rack. not exactly straightforward but i will keep exploring the rack solution.
